Endless Design Possibilities with Our Extensive Column Collection
Polure's Column collection boasts a rich variety to suit every architectural style and need. Our Column Capitals (models offered with codes like P5220C, P5230C), forming the foundation of our collection, bring the classical elegance of Doric, Ionic, and Corinthian orders to modern spaces. These capitals add a sophisticated touch to the top of the column, emphasizing the overall character of the room. For those seeking dynamism with interplay of light and shadow in interiors, our Fluted Column options are ideal. Our Plain Column models offer the power of simplicity for minimalist and neoclassical approaches. For a more opulent and artistic statement, our Twisted Column designs integrate the grandeur of Baroque and Rococo eras into contemporary architecture.
Column Bases and Decorative Column Pedestals, which ensure an aesthetic and robust transition of the column system to the floor, provide a cohesive look. Additionally, our Short Roman Columns and Pedestal Columns serve as lower, functional decorative objects, perfect for displaying artistic pieces or creating a special focal point. This extensive product range offers architects and interior designers unlimited freedom in their projects.
Unrivaled Advantages of High-Density Polyurethane
Compared to traditional materials, Polure's high-density Columns offer significant contributions to your projects in terms of both cost and time. Being much lighter than a marble column, they put only a limited load on buildings and greatly simplify installation processes. Unlike fragile plaster, they exhibit superior resistance to impacts, vibrations, and cracking that may occur over time. The closed-cell structure of the material provides complete insulation against water and moisture, making our products safe for use in both interior and demanding exterior facade conditions. Our half-column models, such as P5220D50 or P5230C50, can be easily mounted on wall surfaces, creating a sense of depth in spaces while saving floor area.
In terms of architectural prestige and aesthetic value, these decorative elements have the power to transform a space's atmosphere. You can redefine the magnificent lobby of a hotel, the grand entrance portal of a villa, or the partitioning of a large hall with Polure Columns. While we offer detailed and patterned models for those who prefer the gravitas of classical aesthetics, columns with simple and sharp lines are an ideal choice for modern and industrial designs. The surface of our products is suitable for painting with any water-based or acrylic paint. This feature allows you to create unique designs that perfectly match your decoration style with personalized finishes such as marble effect, antique gold leaf, or matte lacquer.

Do columns carry load? How is cladding done?
A polyurethane column is decorative and puts only a limited load on the structure. Where a roof, concrete or marble load exists, an internal steel frame carries it; filling the column with concrete is not recommended. When cladding an existing pier, measure its widest point and choose an inner diameter larger than that, otherwise the two half shells will not close at the vertical joints. In steel construction, thermal expansion joints are absorbed with elastic mastic so metal movement does not appear as hairline cracks.
What determines column prices?
A column is not priced as one piece: shaft, capital and base are separate items. For the shaft, diameter and length drive the cost; for the capital, the order (plain Doric, voluted Ionic, acanthus Corinthian) and its workmanship; for the base, the size. Fluted and twisted shafts carry more mould work than plain ones. Counting is simple: one shaft per visible column, plus one capital and one base each. Prices cover the product only; shipping and installation are separate and goods are ex-works. The logic is set out in the price guide; quotations are free and valid for 7 days.
Where are they used?
On facades, entrance features, under-balcony and terrace columns give vertical rhythm; indoors, full round columns suit living rooms and hall transitions while pilasters suit narrow walls. Cladding existing concrete piers with half columns produces a classical look without touching the structure. See column projects and column cladding, and the column guide for the installation sequence.
Usage Areas
Polure Columns, with their versatile designs and superior material properties, offer a wide range of applications in both interior and exterior spaces. Indoors, they can majestically highlight living room entrances, elegantly separate dining and seating areas, add rhythmic depth to corridors, or provide a classic touch to headboard decor in bedrooms. They are particularly favored in high-ceilinged villas, mansions, residences, and penthouses to elevate the overall ambiance and create a luxurious feel. In commercial settings, they leave an unforgettable first impression in boutique hotel lobbies, fine-dining restaurant entrances, event halls, art galleries, and prestigious store window designs. For exterior facade applications, you can create an impressive welcoming area with crown and column combinations at building entrances (portal entries), use them as decorative elements under balconies, complement window frame details, or add an aesthetic embellishment to garden wall tops. These versatile polyurethane decorative columns add value to every project.
Installation
Installing Polure Columns is both quick and easy when the correct steps are followed, making it feasible for knowledgeable homeowners as well as professional teams. First, ensure that the surface where the column will be mounted is completely clean, dry, and free of grease. Next, the column height should be precisely measured, and if necessary, a smooth cut should be made from the top or bottom using a fine-toothed saw or CNC cutter. During the adhesion phase, using Polifix adhesive with high bonding strength is crucial. The adhesive should be generously applied to both the surfaces of the column that will contact the wall/floor and to connection points such as the capital, shaft, and base. After the products are positioned, they can be temporarily secured with thin nails or tape to prevent slipping during the adhesive's drying time. Finally, any small gaps at the joints should be filled with acrylic putty, and once the putty dries, it should be lightly sanded to achieve a smooth finish. Thanks to their lightweight nature, Polure polyurethane columns eliminate the need for heavy equipment during installation.
Care Information
Maintaining Polure Columns is remarkably effortless, thanks to their durable and flexible structure. To preserve the product's long-lasting beauty, regular cleaning with a soft, damp cloth and a non-abrasive, mild detergent is sufficient. Harsh chemical solvents, thinners, or stiff brushes that could damage the surface texture should never be used. This material, inherent to polyurethane decorative products, possesses natural resistance to insects, mold, and rot, eliminating the need for periodic pest control or special protection required by wooden products. Under normal use conditions, Polure Columns offer lasting performance. If used on exterior facades, checking the general surface condition once a year and performing a light cleaning if necessary will help maintain their pristine appearance.
