How is P5240C installed?

The top surface of the column and the contact points of the capital must be completely free of dust, moisture, and dirt before installation. Once the capital is properly aligned with the column shaft, Polure Polfix polyurethane adhesive should be applied to the joint surfaces. In addition to the adhesive, mechanical fastening with screws is mandatory to safely support the product's weight. Screw heads and joints should be filled with a high-quality, exterior-grade putty. After allowing sufficient drying time, sand the surface smooth using 180-220 grit sandpaper. An optional primer coat can be applied based on the paint manufacturer's recommendations, followed by at least two coats of water-based or synthetic paint to complete the installation.

Can P5240C be painted?

Yes. The product comes with white 1K acrylic primer; this is a technical base and a topcoat is applied. Before painting, the surface is lightly matted with 180-220 grit.

Can P5240C be used outdoors?

Yes. The material absorbs below 1% water and is dimensionally stable between -100 °C / +80 °C; outdoors it must be sealed with an elastic, UV-resistant paint.

How is P5240C cleaned?

Thanks to its moisture- and water-resistant closed-cell structure, the polyurethane column capital is extremely easy to clean. Simply wipe with a damp cloth for regular dusting. For outdoor installations, dust and dirt can be rinsed off using low-pressure water. Avoid using abrasive acidic chemicals, hydrochloric acid, or stiff brushes during cleaning. For exterior applications, periodic checks of the UV-resistant paint are recommended to extend the lifespan of the finish.
