The P5240I50 is a premium polyurethane column capital that seamlessly integrates the Ionic style—one of the most enduring and aesthetic elements of Ancient Greek architecture—into modern interior and exterior designs. Specially engineered for flat-backed wall pillars (pilasters) and half-column configurations, this decorative capital adds depth and structural character to any space. It serves as the perfect alternative for bringing the full grandeur of classical architecture to your projects, without the heavy weight and fragility associated with traditional cast materials like plaster or concrete.

Featuring dimensions of 238 mm in depth, 635 mm in width, and 255 mm in height, this product boasts a highly prominent and robust profile. Its wood-like durability stems from high-density (150-220 kg/m³) rigid polyurethane. Exceptionally stable under temperature fluctuations, this tough polymer material suffers no dimensional deviation or deformation between -100 °C / +80 °C. Thanks to its closed-cell structure, its water absorption rate is below 1%, completely preventing swelling, rotting, or mold growth in humid environments.

The striking symmetrical volute (scroll) curves in its visual design capture the finest details of ancient column craftsmanship. The circular spirals on both sides and the leaf-motif reliefs in the center are rendered with smooth, sharp lines using high-precision molding technology. Unlike materials like EPS foam, its non-porous, smooth, and impact-resistant surface delivers a sense of flawless craftsmanship even upon close inspection.

For exterior applications, the polyurethane surface must be coated with a UV-resistant paint to protect it from the degrading effects of sunlight, ensuring excellent weather resistance. Delivered factory-primed in white, the product provides a strong bond for the topcoat. However, since paint manufacturers do not guarantee applications done without their own primers, applying an additional primer coat before the final paint is left entirely to the user's discretion.

During installation, it is mandatory to use Polure Polfix polyurethane adhesive, followed by mechanical fastening with screws. Once screw holes and joints are filled with exterior-grade putty and sanded, the product can be painted in any desired color. It will not crumble like plaster, suffer insect damage like wood, or add significant extra weight to your building, offering a long-lasting decorative solution.
