Polyurethane Twisted Half Column Shaft
Details
Similar Products(Spiral Columns)

The P5820C50 decorative polyurethane half-column shaft is specially designed to bring depth and a classic architectural identity to wall surfaces. With its spiral lines and dynamic helical structure, it creates an extraordinary, lively visual impact in any space. It serves as an ideal architectural element to emphasize vertical lines in interiors or add volume to exterior facade designs.
The product measures 100 mm in depth, 200 mm in width, and 2600 mm in height. These dimensions offer modular and flexible usage across a wide range of projects, from standard-ceiling residential spaces to high-ceiling commercial properties. Manufactured from high-density rigid polyurethane, the shaft provides a wood-like surface hardness with its 150-200 kg/m³ density, while its lightweight structure ensures easy installation. Its closed-cell structure keeps water absorption below 1%, preventing structural issues such as moisture, mold, and rot.
The visual design stands out with its smooth, helix-shaped twisted details. The flat circular ring transition at the top of the column shaft blends seamlessly with the spiral body, preparing an aesthetic base for capital installation. When used as a wall pilaster in classic and neoclassical facade designs, hotel lobbies, or restaurant entrances, it beautifully captures the interplay of light and shadow.
Unlike plaster alternatives, this durable shaft carries no risk of cracking or crumbling, offering a significant advantage during transport and installation. Although the factory-applied primer prepares the surface for painting, additional priming is optional and at the customer's discretion, as paint manufacturers may not guarantee performance over third-party primers. Polure does not assume liability for the paints used or their surface performance. For outdoor applications, the material must be coated with a UV-resistant exterior paint to protect it from sunlight degradation.
- The P5820C50 half-column shaft is used to add movement to flat wall surfaces and introduce classic architectural touches
- In interiors, it is preferred for creating a vertical supporting column look between decorative wall frames in living rooms, around fireplaces, in luxury hotel lobbies, and in restaurant or wedding hall concepts
- On exteriors, it serves as an aesthetic border element on both sides of villa entrance doors, along the vertical edges of window moldings, and at corner claddings merging with floor moldings
- Since it is mounted flush against the wall with its flat back surface, it creates a sense of depth without taking up much space
- The installation surface must be clean, dry, and smooth
- Apply Polure Polfix polyurethane adhesive to the back of the column shaft and press it against the wall
- Screwing is strictly required to prevent slippage during curing and to ensure mechanical stability
- Screw heads and joints should be filled with exterior-grade filler
- Once dry, sand the surface smooth using 180-220 grit sandpaper
- Following an optional extra coat of primer, complete the installation by applying at least two coats of water-based paint for interiors or UV-resistant paint for exteriors
- Since the polyurethane column shaft is fully resistant to moisture and water, it can be easily cleaned with a damp cloth
- Avoid using harsh abrasive chemicals or wire brushes during cleaning, as they can damage the surface primer and paint
- For outdoor applications, it is recommended to inspect the painted surface once a year to extend the paint's lifespan and maintain its UV resistance
