Classic Architectural Details and Structural Harmony
Providing an aesthetic transition where vertical load-bearing columns meet the floor, Patterned Column Base models are essential design elements that define the architectural character of any project. Frequently featured in classical, Baroque, and neoclassical design styles, these bases help vertical lines achieve a balanced and stable stance on the ground. Eliminating the heavy weight and processing difficulties of traditional building materials, our rigid foam technology combines high-detail craftsmanship with lightweight convenience.
Technical Specifications and Material Structure
Our products are manufactured using rigid polyurethane (PU) with a high density of 150-200 kg/m³. Offering surface durability close to wood, this material does not add static load to buildings thanks to its lightweight structure. With its closed-cell structure, the water absorption rate is below 1%, completely preventing issues like moisture, rot, and insect infestation. Maintaining their form in temperatures ranging from -20°C to +80°C, these products offer high dimensional stability without expanding, shrinking, or warping. In the event of fire, they feature self-extinguishing properties once the flame source is removed.

Usage Areas
Patterned Column Base elements are widely used in both interior decoration and exterior facade designs. Indoors, they support the lower sections of columns in hotel lobbies, restaurant halls, convention centers, theaters, wedding venues, and high-ceiling residential projects. Outdoors, they are preferred for porticos at villa entrances, floor molding transitions, building corner columns, and open-air landscaping. For outdoor applications, UV-resistant paints must be used to protect the material from sunlight degradation.
Installation
Before starting the installation, ensure that the application surfaces on the floor and wall are completely clean, dry, and smooth. If necessary, precise 45-degree miter cuts should be made. During the fixing stage, polyurethane (PU) assembly adhesive must be applied to the bonding surfaces; silicone adhesives should never be used. In addition to adhesive, using screws for mechanical fastening is mandatory. Screw heads and joints should be filled with exterior-grade filler and then smoothed with 180-220 grit sandpaper. The products are shipped with a factory-applied primer. Although this primer prepares the surface for painting, paint manufacturers do not guarantee applications made without their own primers. Therefore, applying an additional primer coat is optional and left to the customer's preference. Polure does not guarantee or accept responsibility for the performance and durability of the paints used. Finally, the installation is completed by applying two coats of paint.
Care Information
Thanks to their rigid polymer structure, Patterned Column Base models are extremely easy to maintain. For cleaning, use a damp microfiber cloth and non-abrasive, neutral cleaners. Soft-bristled brushes can be preferred to remove dust accumulated in detailed patterns. To preserve the surface integrity and the paint layer, never use acidic chemicals, solvents, or abrasive wire sponges.
