Polyurethane Wall Panel Models

A polyurethane wall panel is a rigid polyurethane board bonded to the wall, giving the surface a moulded texture or relief. It is fixed straight onto plaster without battens and, absorbing less than 1% water, can also be used in wet rooms. The Polure range covers eight families — plain, wainscot, 3D relief, fretwork, brick and stone textured, wood-look and slim geometric — with coverage between 0.16 m² - 2.79 m² per piece.

Panel families and coverage

How many panels? The area calculation

Multiply wall width by height for the gross area and deduct window and door openings. Divide the result by the coverage of the chosen panel and add about 10% for cutting waste. Example: a 4.20 m × 2.70 m wall is 11.34 m²; with P3000A (2.79 m²) that is 11.34 ÷ 2.79 ≈ 4.1, so five pieces with waste. For patterned and fretwork panels raise the allowance to 15% so the motif aligns across joints.

How does it differ from MDF and plaster panels?

The difference shows most in wet rooms and in the fixing method. A polyurethane panel is bonded straight onto plaster, MDF needs battens and plaster needs a wet trade. The table collects the measurable differences.

Are interior and facade panels the same thing?

No. The panels on this page are interior cladding panels. Facades use stone-textured, insulated and precast-look families with different thickness, fixing and paint requirements. If an interior panel is taken outdoors, an elastic UV-resistant facade paint is mandatory.

Installation and paint in brief

Clean the surface of dust and grease and scrape off loose paint. Apply a PU-based mounting adhesive to the back of the panel in an uninterrupted bead, press the panel home and support large panels until cured; silicone-based adhesive is not used. Fill joints with acrylic filler and sand with 180-220 grit. The factory primer is white; indoors a topcoat is applied, and on 3D or textured panels a patina deepens the shadow.

What determines the price?

Panels are priced per piece; the drivers are coverage in square metres, relief depth, motif workmanship and total quantity, with 10-15% cutting waste accounted for. The price covers the product only; shipping and installation are separate and goods are ex-works. Quotations are free and valid for 7 days.
