The decorative architectural element with model number P180120BU is a wide-surface cladding profile developed for use in modern interior designs and exterior facade projects. With a height of 243 mm, a thickness of 17 mm, and a length of 2400 mm, it functions both as a high baseboard and as a protective, aesthetic wainscoting panel on wall surfaces. Thanks to its minimalist lines and flat surface, it brings a clean, modern look to any space it is applied to.
The product stands out with its high-density rigid structure. Boasting a density of 150-200 kg/m³, this material offers a durability and hardness close to wood while remaining significantly lighter. Thanks to its closed-cell structure, it is completely waterproof and moisture-resistant. This feature ensures safe use in wet areas like bathrooms and kitchens, as well as on exterior facades exposed to weather conditions, without swelling, rotting, or deteriorating.
Looking at its visual design, the front face of the product features a smooth, flat texture. The slightly sloped bevel detail at the top edge creates a soft shadow line at the wall junction, making sharp transitions elegant. The special channels on the back ensure even distribution of the adhesive during installation while allowing thin cables to be neatly hidden and routed behind the panel.
Suitable for versatile application scenarios, this panel can be preferred as a high baseboard in residential projects, hotel lobbies, offices, and restaurants to protect the lower parts of corridor walls against impacts. It can also be installed side-by-side modularly to create modern headboards, TV unit backdrops, or full-wall wainscoting. Provided it is painted with UV-resistant paints, it also functions as a floor molding or skirting cladding on villa facades.
The installation process is highly practical and clean. Unlike fragile plasterboard, it does not break, reducing waste during transport and cutting to zero. Easily cut at angles using miter boxes, the product is adhered to the wall with Polure Polfix adhesive and then mechanically secured with screws. Pre-primed in white at the factory, applying an additional primer coat according to paint manufacturers' standards is entirely optional. The installation is completed by applying water-based or synthetic topcoat paints.
- This wide-profile product has a broad range of applications, serving both as a high baseboard (baseboard height 24.3 cm) in interiors and as a vertical/horizontal wall panel (wainscoting)
- It can be positioned as an impact-absorbing decorative band in living rooms, behind headboards in bedrooms, in hotel corridors, and along high-traffic wall bases in restaurants
- Thanks to its complete water and moisture resistance, it is safely preferred over wood or MDF alternatives in bathroom and kitchen projects
- On exterior facades, with the application of suitable protective paint, it can be integrated into architectural projects at building plinth levels, floor transitions, or as decorative facade panels
- Ensure the application surface is dry, clean, and smooth
- The product is cut to project specifications using a miter saw
- For corner joints, cuts are made at 45-degree angles
- Apply Polure Polfix polyurethane adhesive to the mounting channels on the back of the panel and press it onto the wall
- Mechanical fastening with screws or nails is mandatory to prevent slipping while the adhesive fully cures
- Joints and screw heads are filled with high-quality wall putty, and once dry, sanded smooth with 180-220 grit sandpaper
- Following an optional primer application in line with paint manufacturers' warranty terms, it is painted with at least two coats of water-based or synthetic paint
- Thanks to its closed-cell structure, the product is completely resistant to water and moisture
- It can be easily wiped clean with a damp cloth
- To preserve the original texture of the surface, abrasive acidic cleaners and harsh chemicals should be avoided
- For outdoor applications, a yearly surface inspection is recommended to extend the paint life, and the paint can be renewed if necessary
- Dust and mud stains on exterior facades can be cleaned by washing with high-pressure water
