The P3000B is a flat-surface architectural cladding element designed to create a smooth, minimalist texture on wall surfaces. It is engineered to partition large spaces, add depth, or provide a seamless finish for column cladding. Frequently preferred in modern and neoclassical projects, this product enhances both the acoustic and aesthetic quality of any space while offering long-lasting protection with its durable structure.
Manufactured from high-density rigid polyurethane (PU), this model measures 500 mm in width, 1010 mm in length, and 20 mm in thickness. With a density of 150-220 kg/m³, it matches the hardness and impact resistance of wood without adding extra static load to buildings due to its lightweight nature. Its closed-cell structure keeps moisture absorption below one percent, largely preventing swelling, cracking, or rotting. It perfectly maintains its form, with dimensional stability tested between -20 °C and +70 °C.
As shown in the visuals, the 20 mm return on the side profile ensures a clean, seamless finish at wall corners or joints. The smooth front surface allows for clean, minimalist designs free from unwanted shadows. While the factory-applied primer coat prepares the surface for the final topcoat, applying an additional primer to satisfy specific paint manufacturers' warranties is entirely at the user's discretion.
These panels are highly versatile, suitable for everything from living room TV accent walls and bedroom headboard designs to hotel lobbies, restaurants, and retail window displays. Thanks to their water and moisture-resistant structure, they can be safely installed in wet areas like bathrooms. Additionally, when coated with UV-resistant exterior paints, they provide a modern look for the exterior walls of villas and commercial centers.
Compared to heavy plaster panels or moisture-sensitive wood paneling, installation is exceptionally practical. Once the application surface is clean and dry, the panels are adhered to the wall using Polure Polfix adhesive applied to the back and mechanically secured with screws. Screw holes and joints can be filled with joint compound, sanded smooth, and painted in any desired color. Since leaving them unpainted may cause yellowing due to UV rays, applying a suitable protective paint is mandatory for outdoor applications.
- These flat-surface cladding panels offer versatile solutions for both interior and exterior architecture, with a structure that can be applied both vertically and horizontally
- Indoors, they are ideal for creating a modern backdrop behind living room TV units, designing wainscoting (boiserie) in corridors and hallways, or fully cladding bedroom headboard walls
- Due to their high moisture resistance, they are safely preferred over wood alternatives in high-humidity areas such as spas, bathrooms, and sauna entrances
- Externally, they are used to clad eaves, floor moldings, or entrance columns, achieving modern, minimalist facade designs
- They also create an elegant backdrop for storefront windows and office partition walls
- Ensure the application wall is smooth, dry, and free of dust
- Panels are miter-cut at a 45-degree angle at corners using a miter saw
- Apply the strong Polure Polfix adhesive to the back of the panel and position it on the surface
- Mechanical fastening with screws is mandatory to prevent slippage and ensure a perfect fit for heavy structures
- Once dry, screw holes and joints are filled with a suitable joint sealant
- The surface is then smoothed using 180-220 grit sandpaper
- After optionally applying the paint manufacturer's primer, the installation is completed with two coats of water-based paint for interiors or UV-resistant paint for exteriors
- Thanks to its high-density and closed-cell structure, maintenance requirements are minimal
- In case of dust accumulation, it can be easily cleaned with a damp cloth
- The use of soapy water is recommended instead of highly acidic or abrasive chemical cleaners
- For outdoor applications, a surface inspection once a year is recommended to extend the lifespan of the paint
- If necessary, washing with high-pressure water is perfectly safe, but direct abrasion should be avoided to prevent damaging the paint layer on the surface
Will it be damaged by sunlight when used on exterior facades?
Rigid PU, the raw material of the product, may yellow over time due to UV rays if left unpainted. However, when painted with a high-quality, UV-resistant exterior paint, it remains unaffected by sun, heat, and cold, maintaining its form for many years.
Is using only silicone adhesive sufficient for installation?
No, silicone adhesive should not be used during installation. For a secure and permanent installation, Polure Polfix adhesive must be used, supplemented by mechanical fastening with screws.
Does the product come pre-painted from the factory, and can we paint it directly?
Our products are shipped with a factory-applied white primer. This primer prepares the surface for painting. However, in accordance with the warranty conditions of paint manufacturers, applying their own primer is recommended; this additional primer application is entirely at the customer's discretion.
What advantages does it have over plaster or wood panels?
Unlike plaster panels, it is not fragile and offers high impact resistance. It does not rot, attract insects, or swell due to moisture like wood does. Additionally, being extremely lightweight, its installation is much faster and more practical.
Is the P3000B panel suitable for use in damp areas and bathrooms?
Yes, because of its closed-cell structure, its water absorption rate is below 1%. This allows it to be used safely in high-humidity wet areas such as bathrooms, kitchens, or spas without any swelling or deterioration.
