Designed as an innovative and durable alternative for wall decoration, this wide-surface panel profile adds depth to any space. Combining elegant groove details on the top and bottom edges with a wide flat center, the design reimagines traditional wainscoting with a modern touch. Suitable for both vertical and horizontal installation, it allows you to create decorative partitions and accent walls in areas ranging from hallways to living rooms.
Measuring 194 mm in width, 2400 mm in length, and 15 mm in thickness, this product is manufactured from high-density rigid polyurethane. While its wood-like hardness offers high impact resistance, its lightweight nature ensures great ease during installation. Thanks to its closed-cell structure, it is completely unaffected by moisture and water; it does not rot or warp like wood, and is not fragile like plaster.
The product comes with a protective factory primer that prepares the surface for painting. However, since paint manufacturers do not guarantee applications made without their own primers, applying an additional primer coat before the final paint is entirely at the user's discretion. This profile can be colored with water-based or synthetic paints; if used outdoors, it must be coated with a UV-resistant exterior paint to protect it from the damaging effects of sunlight.
Indoors, it performs excellently as a decorative wall cladding behind TV units, headboard designs, and in high-traffic areas like hallways and hotel lobbies. Thanks to its complete water resistance, it can be safely preferred in high-humidity areas such as bathrooms and spas. On exteriors, it is frequently positioned under floor moldings or around entrance doors to create an aesthetic, dynamic look.
During installation, miter cutting at 45-degree angles is recommended on clean, smooth surfaces. Only Polure Polfix adhesive should be used for joints and gluing. For mechanical stabilization, securing the panels to the wall with screws is mandatory. Once screw holes and joints are puttied and sanded, the painting process can begin.
- Thanks to its versatile design, this wide-body panel profile has a broad range of applications in both interior and exterior projects
- Indoors, you can use it for TV accent walls in living rooms, headboard paneling in bedrooms, or elegant wainscoting (boiserie) in entryways and hallways
- Since it does not degrade in damp environments, it is safely preferred as wall cladding in bathrooms, kitchens, and spa areas
- On exteriors, when coated with UV-resistant paint, it is ideal for creating decorative horizontal lines at building entrances, under eaves, or between floor moldings
- It is also frequently used to add depth and character to walls in prestigious commercial projects such as hotel lobbies, offices, and restaurants
- Ensure that the wall surface to be installed is clean, dry, and smooth
- After cutting the panels to the desired dimensions, apply a 45-degree miter cut to achieve a seamless joint at the connection points
- Only Polure Polfix adhesive must be used for gluing; silicone adhesives should absolutely be avoided
- For a secure installation, it is mandatory to mechanically fix the product using screws
- Once screw heads and joints are filled with suitable joint compound or exterior putty, they should be smoothed with 180-220 grit sandpaper
- In the final stage, the painting process is carried out
- Maintenance of these panels is highly practical
- Dust and stains on the surface can be easily cleaned using a slightly damp cloth
- Abrasive chemicals, acidic liquids, or stiff brushes should not be used during cleaning
- Protecting the product from heavy impacts will extend its lifespan
- If you wish to change the color over time, the surface can be lightly sanded and repainted with water-based or synthetic paints
- For exterior applications, periodic paint maintenance is recommended to preserve the paint's UV protection
