The P8402 decorative fireplace mantel is an ideal architectural element for architects and homeowners looking to create depth and a focal point in interior designs. Perfect for living rooms, lounges, or prestigious commercial spaces, this piece features modern-classic lines with clean, rhythmic layers. Its stepped and sharp geometric profile transitions bring a three-dimensional architectural character to any wall surface.
With dimensions of 195 mm depth, 1205 mm width, and 1050 mm height, the mantel fits standard wall scales perfectly. Thanks to its high-density (150-200 kg/m³) rigid polyurethane formula, it offers a surface durability comparable to hardwood. This cellular structure provides high impact resistance while remaining lightweight for easy installation. It will not shrink, crack, or lose its dimensional form over time.
Unlike fragile plaster fireplace surrounds, it does not crack, and compared to MDF or wood alternatives, it is completely moisture-resistant. With a water absorption rate of less than 1%, this material will not rot or warp, even in humid indoor environments. It serves as an elegant frame to surround electric fireplace inserts or to create cozy alcoves with decorative candle arrangements.
The P8402 model is shipped from our production facility with a factory-applied white primer. This base coat is designed to enhance the adhesion of the final paint layer. However, since paint brands do not guarantee applications made without their own primers, applying an additional primer after installation is entirely optional and left to the customer's preference. Polure does not assume responsibility for the performance of post-applied paints.
During installation, the fireplace frame should be positioned on a clean, dry wall, adhered using Polure Polfix polyurethane adhesive, and mechanically secured with screws. Once the screw heads and joints are filled and sanded, the surface can be painted with water-based or synthetic paints. For safe use, it is crucial that the product does not come into direct contact with open flames or extremely high heat sources.
- The P8402 polyurethane fireplace mantel is an exclusive decorative element designed solely for indoor use
- In living rooms, it can be positioned around electric fireplace inserts to create a stunning feature wall or placed under a TV unit
- In bedrooms, it can be styled with decorative logs, lanterns, or large candles to create an elegant console effect
- It is also an excellent alternative for hotel lobbies, restaurant reception areas, photography studios, and boutique window displays to provide a classic, structured backdrop
- Ensure the installation wall is dry, dust-free, and smooth
- Align and mark the P8402 fireplace parts on the wall
- Apply Polure Polfix polyurethane adhesive to the joints and the back of the pieces, then press onto the wall
- To prevent slipping while the adhesive cures, mechanical fastening with screws is mandatory
- Fill screw holes and joints with acrylic filler
- Once dry, sand the filled areas smooth with 180-220 grit sandpaper
- After an optional extra coat of primer, complete the installation by applying at least two coats of water-based or synthetic paint
- Dust periodically using a soft, damp cloth
- Never use harsh chemical cleaners containing thinners, bleach, or abrasive particles during cleaning
- Avoid direct contact with open-flame fireplace inserts that generate high heat; use only with protected electric systems or decorative candles
