Designed for those who wish to bring historical and cultural textures into modern living spaces in classical architectural designs, the P1453A decorative relief panel creates a noble focal point on walls. Bearing the traditional Ottoman Coat of Arms motif, this exclusive design instantly adds prestige and depth to any surface with its fine craftsmanship. Extremely lightweight compared to plaster alternatives, this product stands out with its ease of installation and structural durability.
Measuring 820x730 mm with a thickness of 14 mm, this panel offers a balanced stance on both wide surfaces and narrow columns thanks to its ideal dimensions. It is manufactured from high-density rigid polyurethane (150-220 kg/m³), giving it a structure as tough and durable as wood. Thanks to its closed-cell structure, its water absorption rate is below one percent. This feature ensures long-lasting use without warping or rotting in damp interiors or outdoor facades exposed to rain.
Examining the visual design, a rich composition is presented with a shining sun and tughra detail at the top, flags, spears, scales of justice on the sides, and hanging medallions at the bottom. Acanthus leaf and volute base ornaments soften the majestic stance of the coat of arms, providing an aesthetic transition. These delicate carvings and relief details create shifting shadows depending on the light angle, producing a three-dimensional, living artwork effect on the wall.
This decorative relief is highly preferred in prestigious areas such as executive offices, hotel lobbies, historical restoration projects, restaurants, and behind TV units in luxury residences. In exterior designs, it is used above entrance doors or between windows to add dynamism to the facade. Thanks to its lightweight structure, it can be easily applied while adding only a limited load to buildings.
Delivered from the factory with a white primer coat, the surface of the product is prepared to accept all types of water-based or synthetic paints. However, since paint brands do not offer warranties for applications made without their own primer products, applying an additional primer before the final coat is optional and at the customer's discretion. Polure does not accept liability for paint applications. During installation, it is recommended to clean the surface, use Polure Polfix adhesive, and perform mechanical fastening with screws.
- The P1453A polyurethane relief panel offers aesthetic solutions for both interior and exterior decorations with its wide range of applications
- In interior design, it can be used as an over-mantel decoration in classical living rooms, an accent panel behind headboards in bedrooms, or a lobby wall cladding in spacious entryways
- In offices and executive suites, placing it on the wall behind the desk achieves a corporate and prestigious look
- For exteriors, it can be positioned on pediments above villa entrance doors, between floor moldings, or at the center of window arches to create a keystone effect
- It is also possible to place it inside decorative niches on garden walls to add a historical touch to landscape design
- Before installation, the application surface must be completely free of dust, moisture, and grease, dry and clean
- Apply Polure Polfix polyurethane adhesive to the back of the product in circular motions
- Press the panel firmly onto the wall, and while waiting for the adhesive to dry, secure it mechanically with screws at specific points to prevent slipping
- Cover screw heads and wall joints using acrylic putty
- Once the putty dries, smooth the surface with 180-220 grit sandpaper
- The factory-applied primer prepares the surface for painting; however, an additional primer coat can be optionally applied for paint longevity
- In the final stage, paint with at least 2 coats of water-based or synthetic paint
- For outdoor applications, using a UV-resistant exterior paint is mandatory
- Thanks to its closed-cell structure, the polyurethane relief panel is moisture-resistant, making its maintenance extremely practical
- A soft-bristled dust brush or a slightly damp cloth can be used for dusting
- Abrasive chemicals, acidic solvents, or harsh brushes that could damage the surface must never be used during cleaning
- For exterior applications, depending on the impact of sunlight and weather conditions on the paint, it is recommended to inspect the paint once a year and perform touch-up painting if necessary
- Small cracks that may occur due to impacts can be easily repaired with acrylic putty, lightly sanded, and repainted
Will the P1453A relief panel be affected by rain on the exterior?
No, the product is manufactured from high-density rigid polyurethane (150-220 kg/m³) and features a closed-cell structure. Since its water absorption rate is below 1%, it will not swell, crack, or rot due to rain, snow, or moisture. It can be safely used on exteriors.
What are its advantages compared to plaster or wooden coats of arms?
Plaster crests are very heavy, fragile to impacts, and can crumble during installation. Wood, on the other hand, can warp over time due to moisture and is susceptible to insects. The polyurethane relief is lightweight, puts only a limited load on the structure, is highly impact-resistant, and offers resistance to moisture.
Can the product be used directly without being painted?
The product is shipped from the factory with a white primer coat. However, if polyurethane material is left unpainted, it may yellow over time due to UV rays. Therefore, for long-lasting use, especially outdoors, painting it with UV-resistant paint is mandatory.
Which adhesive should be used for its installation?
Only Polure Polfix polyurethane adhesive should be used during installation to ensure a strong and flexible bond. Silicone-based adhesives should be avoided as they may flex over time and cause the product to fall. Additionally, mechanical fastening with screws is required.
Is it necessary to apply an additional primer after installing it on the wall?
Our product comes with a factory-applied primer that prepares the surface for painting. However, since paint manufacturers do not offer surface warranties for paint jobs done without their own primers, applying an additional primer is entirely optional and is the customer's responsibility.
