Polyurethane Classic Key Motif Decorative Wall Panel
Details
The P1985 decorative relief panel brings the antique key form—one of the most striking symbols of classical architecture—to your walls using modern production technology. Designed to add depth and an artistic dimension to ordinary flat surfaces, this unique motif creates an eye-catching focal point wherever it is applied. Carrying the noble lines of traditional palace and mansion architecture, this product serves as a complementary wall ornament in both classical and eclectic interior design schemes.
Manufactured from high-density rigid polyurethane (PU), this decorative element boasts a wood-like hardness thanks to its 150-200 kg/m³ density. With a height of 615 mm, a width of 255 mm, and a thickness of 31 mm, it offers the ideal dimensions for a wall accent. Its closed-cell structure keeps water absorption below 1%, ensuring it will not swell, crack, or rot even in highly humid environments. Unaffected by temperature fluctuations ranging from -20°C to +80°C, it retains its original form for a lifetime.
A closer look at the visual design reveals a symmetrically curved crown structure at the top and elegant circular motifs along the body. The classic key bit detail at the bottom faithfully reflects the aesthetics of historical door locks. Thanks to high-precision molding, all embossed and relief lines are exceptionally sharp and smooth. Unlike fragile plaster, it is highly impact-resistant, ensuring zero breakage during transport and installation.
Offering a wide range of applications, this decorative polyurethane accessory is highly favored in wall molding combinations behind headboards, over-mantel fireplace decors, hotel lobbies, and themed restaurant designs. It can also be utilized as an over-door pediment ornament or an accent panel on exterior doors. When used outdoors, it must be coated with UV-resistant paint to protect it from the degrading effects of sunlight.
Installation is exceptionally practical. It is positioned on a clean surface using Polure Polfix adhesive, followed by mechanical fastening with screws. Joints and screw holes are filled with exterior-grade putty, sanded smooth with 180-220 grit sandpaper, and made ready for painting. The product is delivered with a factory-applied primer. Since paint manufacturers do not guarantee applications without their own primers, applying an additional primer coat before the topcoat is optional and left to the customer's preference.
- This decorative key motif panel delivers excellent results as a center ornament within frames in wall molding projects
- It creates a noble accent behind TV units in living rooms, inside vertical panels in hallways, and on headboard walls in bedrooms
- It serves as a unique decorative element for classically styled hotel lobbies, boutique cafes, and luxury restaurants
- Thanks to its fully waterproof and moisture-resistant structure, it can be safely used on wet-area walls such as bathrooms and spas
- On exterior facades, it enhances building aesthetics when coated with UV-resistant paint and applied above entrance doors or on empty wall surfaces between windows
- The wall or door surface to be applied must be cleaned of dust and moisture
- Only Polure Polfix adhesive should be applied to the back of the product; silicone adhesives must absolutely not be used for installation
- To prevent slipping during the curing process, the product adhered to the wall must be mechanically secured with screws
- Screw heads and joints should be filled with acrylic putty and, once dry, smoothed with 180-220 grit sandpaper
- The factory primer on the product facilitates painting; however, for the paint brand's warranty, applying an additional primer coat is optional and left to the customer's preference
- As a final step, it should be painted with at least two coats of water-based or synthetic paint
- Cleaning the polyurethane decorative panel is highly practical
- Dust can be wiped periodically using a damp cloth
- During cleaning, abrasive chemicals, acidic liquids, or wire brushes that could damage the surface paint must strictly be avoided
- For outdoor applications, the UV-protective property of the paint should be checked once a year, and touch-ups should be applied if necessary
- The product is suitable for washing with high-pressure water but must be protected from direct mechanical impacts
