Specially developed for those seeking to add depth and artistic character to architectural designs, the P8110 carved fretwork panel is a premium decorative element that brings large-scale wall and ceiling surfaces to life. Measuring 1000 mm in width, 993 mm in height, and 67 mm in thickness, it creates a striking three-dimensional effect in any space. Blending classical Baroque patterns with modern manufacturing technology, this piece serves as an ideal focal point, particularly for spacious living rooms, hotel lobbies, and prestigious commercial spaces.
Manufactured from high-density rigid polyurethane (150-200 kg/m³), the panel offers structural hardness comparable to wood while remaining lightweight, preventing unnecessary load on the building structure. Thanks to its closed-cell structure, its water absorption rate is below one percent, making it completely resistant to moisture, humidity, mold, and insect infestation—common vulnerabilities of natural wood. Demonstrating high dimensional stability against temperature fluctuations, the product retains its original shape without shrinking, expanding, or warping in climates ranging from -20°C to +80°C.
The visual composition features a central layered floral motif surrounded by gracefully flowing acanthus leaf scrolls in perfect symmetry. The 6.7 cm deep carved and embossed details create beautiful plays of light and shadow depending on the angle of illumination. The product is shipped in white, pre-primed with a smooth factory undercoat.
Although the factory-applied primer prepares the surface for the final coat, paint manufacturers often do not guarantee applications done without their own primers; therefore, applying an additional primer is entirely optional and left to the customer's preference. The product can be painted with both water-based and solvent-based paints. For exterior applications, it is mandatory to use UV-resistant exterior paints to protect the material from sun damage and yellowing. Polure does not accept liability for painting processes.
Compared to heavy and fragile traditional plaster or stone carvings, this lightweight panel offers high impact resistance and saves time on projects due to its ease of installation. After applying Polure Polfix adhesive to the clean, dry surface, mechanical fastening with screws is absolutely required for secure installation. Once screw holes and joints are filled with a suitable putty and sanded smooth, the panel is ready for painting.
- This large-scale carved panel offers a wide range of applications for both interior and exterior designs
- Indoors, it can be used to create a stunning focal point behind TV units, design a luxurious headboard panel in bedrooms, or serve as a central accent panel within classic boiserie (wall molding) systems in spacious corridors and lobby walls
- It is also highly favored as an alternative to ceiling medallions in suspended ceilings or as an aesthetic ceiling ornament inside light coves
- Outdoors, it can be safely installed under villa entrance canopies, between floor moldings, or on window pediments using UV-resistant paint to give buildings a historic, elegant character
- The application surface must be clean, dry, and free of dust and moisture
- Apply Polure Polfix polyurethane adhesive to the back of the panel (silicone adhesives must absolutely not be used)
- Once the adhesive is applied, place the panel on the wall; mechanical fastening with screws at appropriate points is mandatory to ensure a secure hold
- Cover screw heads and any joints with acrylic filler
- After the filler dries, sand the surface smooth using 180-220 grit sandpaper
- Following an optional additional coat of primer, complete the process with at least two coats of water-based or solvent-based paint
- Cleaning the panel is extremely easy; dust can be periodically removed using a soft, slightly damp cloth or sponge
- Abrasive acids, harsh chemicals, or cleaning agents containing hydrochloric acid must never be used
- For exterior applications, the painted surface should be visually inspected every few years and repainted if necessary to maintain its protective qualities and UV resistance
- Protecting the product from direct impacts by sharp or hard objects will significantly extend its lifespan
