Door Casing

A door casing is a polyurethane profile element applied around the junction of the door frame and the wall, framing the opening. It is used to cover the gap between the door frame and the wall and to give the door a decorative frame. The polyurethane material is lightweight and is applied directly with mounting adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, blister or warp, and can be painted. Unlike a wooden casing, it is not affected by moisture, does not bow and does not rot; installation is fast by cutting and gluing. Since it is mould-cast, the casing profile repeats identically all around the frame. Polure produces the door casing in a range of widths and profile options.
