The P1460 architectural profile is a high-volume structural element designed to create a monumental impact in exterior facades and grand interior spaces. Functioning as a window pediment, a horizontal mid-floor belt course, or an eave cornice, this product significantly enhances a building's architectural character. Unlike traditional heavy concrete or plaster elements, it delivers the same visual depth and boldness without adding unnecessary static load to the structure.
Manufactured from high-density rigid polyurethane (150-200 kg/m³), this profile offers a wood-like hardness combined with exceptional lightweight properties. Boasting an impressive projection with a height of 542 mm and a depth of 480 mm, this massive profile is produced in standard lengths of 2400 mm. Thanks to its closed-cell structure, its water absorption rate is below 1%, completely eliminating outdoor issues such as moisture, mold, rot, or cracking.
The visual design features stepped geometric lines at the top that seamlessly blend into a wide, smooth S-curve (cyma profile) in the center. The sharp stepped structure at the bottom creates dramatic shadow plays on the facade under daylight, accentuating the horizontal lines. This rich, sharp detailing is consistently maintained across every piece thanks to high-precision molding technology.
Ease of installation is one of its greatest advantages. After making 45-degree miter cuts on a clean surface, Polure Polfix adhesive should be applied for a strong bond, followed by mechanical fastening with screws. The product comes pre-primed with a protective factory coating, preparing the surface for the final paint. After installation, joints can be filled, sanded, and painted in any desired color.
Highly durable compared to fragile plaster alternatives and far more resistant to wind, bird pecks, and physical impacts than EPS foam options, this profile is a long-lasting facade investment. Additionally, its structure contributes to thermal and acoustic insulation, meeting both the technical and aesthetic demands of modern projects.
- With a height of 542 mm and a depth of 480 mm, the P1460 profile is a product of monumental scale
- Due to its large dimensions, it yields excellent results as a mid-floor belt course (horizontal divider between floors) or an under-eave cornice, particularly in high-rise buildings, wide-facade villas, hotel projects, and historical restorations
- It can also be positioned as a grand pediment crown above wide windows
- For interior spaces, it should only be preferred as a ceiling-to-wall cornice in high-ceiling lobbies, ballrooms, or spacious exhibition halls
- Its use in smaller rooms is not recommended as it will make the space feel confined
- The installation surface must be completely free of dust and moisture
- Profile ends are miter-cut at a 45-degree angle
- Only Polure Polfix adhesive should be used for bonding; silicone-based adhesives are not recommended as they tend to flex over time
- Due to its large dimensions, mechanical fastening with dowels and screws is mandatory in addition to the adhesive
- Screw heads and joints should be filled with exterior-grade joint filler and smoothed with 180-220 grit sandpaper
- In the final step, the installation is completed by applying two coats of UV-resistant exterior paint
- Since the product features a closed-cell structure, it remains unaffected by water and moisture
- Accumulated dust and dirt on exterior surfaces can be easily cleaned using high-pressure water or a damp cloth
- Avoid using abrasive chemicals or stiff brushes that could damage the surface during cleaning
- For outdoor applications, it is recommended to inspect the paint every few years and touch up if necessary, depending on paint wear caused by UV exposure
