The P1464 exterior trim element is a functional profile designed to create modern lines around window and door frames. Suitable for both interior and exterior applications, this product enhances the architectural character of buildings while perfectly balancing classic and modern design elements.
Manufactured from high-density rigid polyurethane (150-200 kg/m³), the profile measures 9.7 cm in width, 240 cm in length, and 20 cm in depth. Thanks to its closed-cell structure, it has a water absorption rate of less than 1%, making it completely moisture-resistant with no risk of rotting or swelling. With a temperature resistance ranging from -20°C to +80°C, it exhibits high dimensional stability during seasonal transitions.
As shown in the visual, the profile features a stepped, geometric cross-section design. The specialized hollow channel on the back facilitates easy installation and can also function as a concealed cable conduit or LED lighting channel. Its smooth, flat surface texture makes it easy to achieve clean finishes and sharp shadow details in facade designs.
Offering a wide range of applications, this profile is ideal for exterior window casings, mid-floor moldings, or crowning building entrances. Indoors, it provides aesthetic continuity as a wide door architrave, ceiling cornice, or wall paneling trim. It stands out from plaster alternatives with its lightweight and shatterproof structure, and from wood with its resistance to insects and moisture.
During installation, the profiles are miter-cut at a 45-degree angle, adhered to a clean surface using Polure Polfix adhesive, and mechanically secured with screws. Although the factory-applied primer prepares the surface for painting, an additional primer coat is optional as paint manufacturers often recommend their own priming systems. For exterior applications, a UV-resistant topcoat paint is mandatory to prevent yellowing.
- Thanks to its versatile design, the P1464 profile has a wide range of applications in both interior and exterior projects
- On facades, it can be applied as window trim or as horizontal mid-floor moldings separating building levels
- Indoors, it is highly preferred as a door architrave or decorative ceiling-to-wall cornice, particularly in high-ceilinged living rooms, hotel lobbies, and restaurant entrances
- It can also be used for under-eave cladding in villa projects or to create vertical and horizontal divider panels in modern office designs
- The installation surface must be dry, clean, and dust-free
- Profile corners are prepared with a 45-degree miter cut
- Only Polure Polfix adhesive should be used for bonding; silicone-based products must be avoided
- For a secure installation, mechanical fastening with screws is mandatory
- Screw heads and joints are filled with a suitable exterior filler and smoothed with 180-220 grit sandpaper
- Afterwards, an additional primer coat can be optionally applied, and the process is completed with two coats of paint
- Once installation and painting are complete, the product requires extremely low maintenance
- Indoors, it can be easily cleaned with a damp cloth; abrasive chemical cleaners that could damage the surface should be avoided
- For exteriors, it is suitable for washing with high-pressure water
- To extend the life of the paint, an annual paint inspection is recommended for outdoor applications
