Designed to add architectural depth to both exterior facades and interior spaces, the P14D25 is a high-durability decorative profile. This versatile product can be used as window casing, a mid-floor belt course, or a grand crown molding at ceiling joints, bringing volume and character to any surface.
Manufactured from high-density rigid polyurethane (150-200 kg/m³), it offers a hardness close to wood while remaining remarkably lightweight. With dimensions of 60 mm in width, 160 mm in height, and 2400 mm in length, it defines sharp, prominent lines. Thanks to its closed-cell structure, this waterproof profile does not absorb moisture and fully retains its shape under temperature fluctuations ranging from -20°C to +80°C.
Visually, the design features an elegant S-curve (ogee) following a flat, stepped transition at the top. The flat vertical surface at the bottom, finished with a subtle rounded chamfer, blends classical architectural proportions with modern simplicity. The hollowed-out back section reduces weight during installation while conveniently accommodating cable routing and concealing wall imperfections.
Due to its grand scale, it is highly favored for framing exterior windows and doors in luxury villas, as well as serving as a majestic ceiling cornice in hotel lobbies or high-ceilinged living rooms. It is the perfect architectural element for faithfully restoring historical textures or adding neoclassical character to modern buildings.
Unlike fragile plaster or easily dented EPS foam, this durable profile can be quickly cut and installed on-site. Installation requires Polure Polfix adhesive along with mechanical fastening using screws. While the factory-applied primer provides a paint-ready surface, applying an additional primer coat is entirely optional and depends on the user's preference, often influenced by paint manufacturers' warranty terms. For exterior applications, UV-resistant paints must be used to ensure long-lasting durability.
- Thanks to its versatile cross-sectional design, the P14D25 offers a wide range of applications for both interior and exterior spaces
- Its most common application is as decorative window and door casing to frame openings on the facades of private homes and villas
- It also functions as a belt course molding to visually divide floor transitions on exterior walls
- In interior design, its generous 160 mm height makes it an outstanding grand crown molding at wall-to-ceiling junctions in high-ceilinged living rooms, hotel lobbies, restaurants, and prestigious office projects
- Its broad and prominent lines provide an ideal detail solution for architects and interior designers looking to add a neoclassical or modern-classical touch to plain walls
- With the correct paint and installation steps, it can even be used safely in high-humidity areas like bathrooms
- The installation surface must be dry, clean, and free of dust
- The profile is cut at a 45-degree angle at the corners using a miter saw
- For installation, apply Polure Polfix adhesive to the back surface and press it onto the wall
- Due to the product's size and weight, mechanical fastening with screws is mandatory
- Screw heads and joints should be filled with a high-quality exterior joint filler
- Once the filler is dry, sand it smooth using 180-220 grit sandpaper
- The product comes factory-primed and ready for paint; however, an optional additional coat of primer can be applied based on the paint manufacturer's recommendation, followed by at least two coats of water-based or synthetic paint
- For exterior applications, the use of UV-resistant paint is mandatory
- Maintenance of the P14D25 profile is highly practical
- Thanks to its closed-cell structure, it is fully resistant to water and moisture, allowing it to be easily cleaned with a damp cloth or a soft sponge
- For exterior applications, using pressurized water to wash away accumulated dust and dirt is perfectly safe
- Avoid using harsh solvents like thinners, acetone, or cleaning agents containing abrasive chemicals during cleaning
- For outdoor installations, a visual inspection once a year is recommended to check the elasticity of the joints and maintain paint vibrancy, performing local paint touch-ups as necessary
