The P14D40 facade and ceiling profile is a versatile architectural element designed to create grand ceiling transitions indoors and highlight windows on exterior facades. With a width of 255 mm and a depth of 90 mm, it creates distinct shadow lines and a sense of depth on any surface. Unlike heavy traditional concrete or plaster elements, its lightweight structure adds no extra load to the building, offering a safe and long-lasting alternative.
The product is manufactured from high-quality rigid polyurethane with a density of 150-200 kg/m³. This closed-cell structure keeps water absorption below 1%, providing complete resistance to moisture, humidity, and rot. Exhibiting high dimensional stability against temperature fluctuations, the profile maintains its original shape without expanding, shrinking, or cracking even in harsh weather conditions ranging from -20°C to +80°C.
The design of the profile combines a classic ogee (S-curve) silhouette with modern geometric steps. The circular bead detail at the bottom and the flat, wide top fascia feature a smooth surface area that beautifully reflects light and shadow. These clean, symmetrical lines make it easy to establish aesthetic harmony across a wide range of designs, from classical architecture to modern facade concepts.
Highly versatile in application, this profile is preferred as window trim (jamb) or horizontal belt courses (mid-floor moldings) in luxury residential projects, hotel lobbies, and villa facades. Indoors, it serves as a grand ceiling cornice, especially in high-ceilinged living rooms, corridors, and lobby areas over 3 meters, aesthetically balancing the vertical volume of the space.
During installation, the profile is miter-cut at 45 degrees and placed on a clean surface. For strong adhesion, Polure Polfix polyurethane adhesive must be used, supported by mechanical anchors. Although the factory-applied primer prepares the surface for the topcoat, applying an additional primer layer according to the paint manufacturer's guidelines is entirely optional. For outdoor applications, using UV-resistant paint maximizes the lifespan of the material.
- This wide-profile moulding serves a dual purpose as window trim and mid-floor molding, making it highly versatile for both interior and exterior architecture
- On exterior facades, it creates a deep, elegant frame around the windows of private villas, mansions, and boutique hotels
- Used as a horizontal belt course between floors, it breaks up the monotonous vertical appearance of buildings
- Indoors, it acts as a grand crown molding at the ceiling-to-wall transitions in high-ceilinged luxury residences, restaurants, spacious conference halls, and entrance lobbies
- The installation surface must be dry, clean, and free of dust
- Miter cuts at a 45-degree angle should be made for the corners
- Apply Polure Polfix adhesive to the back and joints of the profiles before mounting them to the surface
- Mechanical fastening with screws or nails is mandatory until full adhesion strength is achieved
- Screw heads and joint seams should be filled with high-quality exterior filler, allowed to dry, and then sanded smooth using 180-220 grit sandpaper
- After optionally applying an additional primer according to the paint manufacturer's recommendation, finish with at least two coats of paint, ensuring UV protection is used for outdoor applications
- Since the product is completely resistant to moisture and water, it does not rot or attract insects
- Cleaning can be easily done with a slightly damp cloth or by spraying low-pressure water on exterior walls
- Heavy solvents and abrasive chemicals must be avoided during cleaning
- For outdoor applications, it is recommended to inspect the paint condition every few years and refresh it if necessary, depending on the UV protection lifespan of the paint
- Any damage caused by impacts can be easily repaired with filler and localized touch-up painting
