The P1460M10 large-scale decorative profile is designed to create a powerful visual impact in both interior and exterior architecture. It can be used as a window and door casing (architrave) or as a horizontal floor band (string course) to separate floors in facade designs. Thanks to its grand dimensions, it brings a monumental and balanced look to any project.
Manufactured from high-density rigid polyurethane, this product offers wood-like durability with a density of 150-200 kg/m³ while remaining exceptionally lightweight. Measuring 542 mm in width, 480 mm in height, and 2400 mm in length, it adds striking depth to building facades. Thanks to its closed-cell structure, its water absorption rate is below 1%, making it completely resistant to moisture, rot, and mold. Additionally, it maintains its dimensional stability under temperature fluctuations ranging from -20°C to +80°C, preventing any shrinking or expansion.
The design features elegant stepped transitions at the top and a softly curved body. The regular block and dentil motifs at the bottom combine traditional classical architectural details with modern production technology. These sharp lines and smooth surface finish create dynamic light-and-shadow play on the facade, offering a sophisticated aesthetic.
This premium profile has a wide range of applications, serving as window and door trims or floor bands on luxury villa facades, hotel projects, and historical restoration works. Indoors, it can be utilized as a majestic crown molding to highlight the ceiling-to-wall transition in high-ceilinged lobbies, spacious halls, or grand corridors.
During installation, after cleaning the surface, 45-degree miter cuts are made. Only Polfix adhesive should be used for bonding, supplemented by mechanical fastening with screws. Screw heads and joints are filled with exterior-grade joint filler and smoothed with 180-220 grit sandpaper. Compared to heavy and fragile materials like plaster, installation is exceptionally fast and secure.
The product is delivered pre-primed from the factory. This primer enhances paint adhesion; however, since paint manufacturers do not guarantee applications done without their own system primers, applying an additional primer is entirely at the customer's discretion. For long-lasting outdoor performance, UV-resistant exterior paints are highly recommended.
- The P1460M10 is a highly versatile architectural element with a wide cross-section
- On exteriors, it is used as a window casing to highlight windows or as a floor band to create horizontal divisions between stories in luxury residential, villa, and hotel projects
- It provides a decorative finish under eaves and roof junctions
- Indoors, it can be utilized as a majestic crown molding cornice at the ceiling-to-wall transitions of high-ceilinged ballrooms, hotel lobbies, spacious restaurants, and historical buildings
- Thanks to its grand dimensions, it is perfectly scaled for large windows and high-rise facades
- After aligning the profiles on a dry and clean installation surface, they are cut at a 45-degree angle
- Only Polfix adhesive must be used for bonding; silicone should not be used
- In addition to the adhesive, the product must be mechanically secured to the wall with screws at regular intervals
- Screw heads and joints are filled with exterior joint compound, and once dry, sanded smooth with 180-220 grit sandpaper
- Following an optional additional coat of primer, the process is completed with two coats of UV-resistant exterior paint
- The product requires minimal maintenance
- For exterior applications, periodic paint inspections are recommended to extend the lifespan of the finish
- For cleaning, low-pressure water can be sprayed from a distance
- Abrasive chemical cleaners and stiff brushes that could damage the surface must be avoided
- Minor damages caused by physical impacts can be easily repaired using filler compound, light sanding, and localized touch-up painting
