P1462 is a prominent architectural decorative element designed to adorn windows, doors, and building facades in large-scale projects. It creates a dramatic sense of depth in both interior transitions and exterior facade embellishments. Unlike traditional heavy materials, it imparts the full grandeur of classical architecture to surfaces without imposing additional structural load.
The product boasts a distinct and voluminous form with dimensions of 184 mm in height, 437 mm in depth, and 2400 mm in length. Manufactured from rigid PU (polyurethane) material, the profile offers a surface hardness comparable to wood, thanks to its density of 150-200 kg/m³. Its closed-cell structure ensures water absorption remains below 1%, providing complete protection against moisture, rot, and mold.
Examining its visual design, the main body forms a deep curve, complemented by distinctive double-tiered projection details at the bottom. This unique profile structure creates aesthetic shadow play on facades under natural light, imbuing buildings with character. The smooth surface texture represents a balanced fusion of modern and classical design elements.
Primary application areas for this product include grand doorways, hotel lobbies, villa exteriors, and historical building restorations. Thanks to its generous dimensions, it can be positioned as a cornice at ceiling-wall junctions, particularly in high-ceilinged halls, or as horizontal lines (belt courses) separating floors on building facades.
During installation, the surface must be clean and dry. After making 45-degree miter cuts, the product should be affixed to the surface with Polure Polfix adhesive and mechanically reinforced with screws. The surface, shipped pre-primed from the factory, is ready for painting. However, due to varying primer standards among paint brands, applying an additional primer after installation is entirely at the user's discretion.
- The P1462 high-profile architrave model is particularly favored in large-scale applications due to its generous dimensions and 437 mm deep projection
- It delivers exceptional results when used as window head crowning on detached villa facades, for framing wide door arches, and as horizontal divisions (belt courses) between floors
- Indoors, it can serve as a ceiling cornice in hotel receptions, high-ceilinged classical lounges, restaurant entrances, and wide corridors
- When applied to exterior facades, it creates prominent shadows that significantly enhance the building's architectural value
- The application area must be thoroughly cleaned and free of dust and moisture
- Profile ends should be cut with a 45-degree miter saw
- For robust adhesion during installation, only Polure Polfix adhesive should be used; silicone-based adhesives are not recommended
- In addition to adhesive, mechanical fastening to the wall with screws is absolutely mandatory
- After filling and sanding joint points and screw holes with exterior facade filler, the product should be painted with two coats of UV-resistant paint for outdoor applications
- Thanks to its waterproof structure, the product can be easily wiped with a damp cloth or washed with low-pressure water
- Abrasive chemicals and harsh brushes should not be used during cleaning
- For exterior applications, it is advisable to inspect the surface once a year to maintain the paint's longevity
