The P1462D285VO is a decorative curved arch element designed to complement the upper circular contours of doors and windows. It brings the majestic arched transitions of historical Roman and Ottoman architecture to facades or interior walls with a modern, long-lasting structure. By integrating straight jamb profiles with aesthetic circular forms, it helps create a seamless design language in buildings.
Manufactured from rigid polyurethane raw material, this curved arch offers the hardness of wood thanks to its ideal density of 150-200 kg/m³, yet remains extremely lightweight. With dimensions of 184 mm in width, 1426 mm in length, and a circular arch height of 546 mm, it is easily preferred for medium to wide transition openings. Its closed-cell structure keeps water absorption below 1%, completely preventing deformations such as freezing, moisture, mold, rot, or shrinkage and expansion due to temperature fluctuations.
The stepped and tiered profile lines, clearly visible in the product's cross-section, add depth to the facade through the interplay of light and shadow. The smooth surface craftsmanship ensures that the circular line presents a seamless, sleek, and fluid appearance. The factory-applied primer prepares the surface for the topcoat. However, due to paint manufacturers' warranty conditions for their own primers, applying an additional coat of primer before the final coat is optional and left to the user's preference.
With a wide range of applications, this curved profile is frequently preferred for interior room transition arches and as an upper jamb for circular windows on exterior facades. When used outdoors, it must be painted with UV-resistant exterior paint to prevent the material from yellowing under sunlight. Compared to heavy and fragile materials like plaster, it does not add load to the building and offers a much safer installation. It does not rot, crack, or suffer from insect infestation over time like wood, and is highly impact-resistant compared to EPS foam.
During installation, it is critical that the surface is dry and clean. Only Polure Polfix adhesive should be used at the joints and for bonding; silicone adhesives must be avoided. For a secure application, it is mandatory to support the installation with mechanical fixing screws. Once the screw holes and joint gaps are filled with a suitable filler and sanded, the paint application can begin to achieve a flawless finish.
- With its versatile structure, this curved arch trim is used in both interior decoration and exterior facade applications
- In exterior designs, it lends a classic character to the building as an upper jamb frame for circular and arched windows
- It can be positioned as a crowning arch element above the main entrance doors of mansions, villas, or hotel projects
- Indoors, it is an excellent choice for emphasizing the circular line in wide arched wall openings in living rooms, corridors, or hallways
- It is also highly suitable for decoratively cladding transition arches above columns in hotel lobbies, restaurants, and historical restoration projects
- The product's circular curved structure follows the upper boundary of wide windows, creating a fluid rhythm on the facade
- In interior spaces, it offers creative decoration solutions as a circular top frame over panels bordered by wallpaper applications
- It can be modularly combined with circular lines of different widths
- The circular surface to be installed must be dry, clean, and free of dust
- Polure Polfix adhesive is applied to the joints and the back of the curved arch profile
- Under no circumstances should silicone-based adhesives be used during installation
- To ensure the circular shape of the product fits properly and does not slip, it is mandatory to secure it to the wall with mechanical anchors or screws
- Screw heads and joints are filled with acrylic exterior filler
- Once the filler dries, the surface is smoothed using 180-220 grit sandpaper
- In the final stage, after an optional additional coat of primer, the installation is completed with at least two coats of paint
- For exterior applications, it is critical that the filler and paint used are resistant to outdoor weather conditions and UV rays for long-term durability
- Thanks to its closed-cell structure, the polyurethane curved arch is fully resistant to water and moisture, making maintenance extremely easy
- Indoors, dust can be easily removed with a damp cloth
- For exterior applications, it can be cleaned with low-pressure water and mild soapy water
- Abrasive chemicals or stiff brushes must not be used during cleaning
- To maintain the vibrancy of the exterior paint, the painted surface should be inspected once a year, and local paint touch-ups should be applied if necessary
- Any minor cracks that may occur due to impact can be easily repaired by filling them with elastic putty and repainting
