The P1462D285VO is a decorative curved arch element designed to complement the upper circular contours of doors and windows. It brings the majestic arched transitions of historical Roman and Ottoman architecture to facades or interior walls with a modern, long-lasting structure. By integrating straight jamb profiles with aesthetic circular forms, it helps create a seamless design language in buildings.
Manufactured from rigid polyurethane raw material, this curved arch offers the hardness of wood thanks to its ideal density of 150-220 kg/m³, yet remains extremely lightweight. With dimensions of 184 mm in width, 1426 mm in length, and a circular arch height of 546 mm, it is easily preferred for medium to wide transition openings. Its closed-cell structure keeps water absorption below 1%, largely preventing deformations such as freezing, moisture, mold, rot, or shrinkage and expansion due to temperature fluctuations.
The stepped and tiered profile lines, clearly visible in the product's cross-section, add depth to the facade through the interplay of light and shadow. The smooth surface craftsmanship ensures that the circular line presents a seamless, sleek, and fluid appearance. The factory-applied primer prepares the surface for the topcoat. However, due to paint manufacturers' warranty conditions for their own primers, applying an additional coat of primer before the final coat is optional and left to the user's preference.
With a wide range of applications, this curved profile is frequently preferred for interior room transition arches and as an upper jamb for circular windows on exterior facades. When used outdoors, it must be painted with UV-resistant exterior paint to prevent the material from yellowing under sunlight. Compared to heavy and fragile materials like plaster, it adds only limited weight to the building and offers a much safer installation. It does not rot, crack, or suffer from insect infestation over time like wood, and is highly impact-resistant compared to EPS foam.
During installation, it is critical that the surface is dry and clean. Only Polure Polfix adhesive should be used at the joints and for bonding; silicone adhesives must be avoided. For a secure application, it is mandatory to support the installation with mechanical fixing screws. Once the screw holes and joint gaps are filled with a suitable filler and sanded, the paint application can begin to achieve a flawless finish.
