The P8026 model is a horizontally oriented decorative ornament that beautifully merges traditional classical architecture with modern manufacturing standards. Designed to create a rich visual impact on wall surfaces, over-door panels, or furniture, this piece possesses a distinctive character that transforms any space. With its symmetrical curves and balanced composition, it establishes an elegant focal point wherever it is applied.
Offering superior durability, this product is manufactured from high-density rigid polyurethane (150-220 kg/m³). It features ideal proportions with a height of 22 cm, a width of 48.5 cm, and a depth of 4.5 cm. Its robust structure, comparable to the hardness of wood, provides excellent resistance to impacts, while its closed-cell structure ensures moisture resistance. Consequently, it can be used for many years without degradation in wet areas or on exterior facades exposed directly to outdoor weather conditions.
The visual design features a central fan-shaped acanthus leaf composition, a motif familiar from classical antiquity. This central element is flanked by elegant, sweeping volute (scroll) curves and fluid leaf reliefs. The deep 3D carved details add dimension to the space, creating a captivating visual display of light and shadow under well-placed lighting.
Unlike traditional plaster ornaments, this lightweight element does not crumble, crack, or flake, nor does it rot or attract insects like wood. It comes factory-primed, making the surface ready for painting. Due to the varying primer standards of different paint manufacturers, applying an additional coat of primer after installation is optional; Polure does not assume responsibility for the performance of applied paints.
Thanks to its easy installation, it can be quickly applied to surfaces using Polure Polfix adhesive and auxiliary mechanical fasteners. Safely preferred for both interior designs and exterior pediments, this decorative element adds lasting value to your projects.
- The P8026 horizontal decorative ornament offers versatile design solutions for both interior and exterior applications
- Indoors, it is highly favored as a centerpiece for living room wall panels, within wainscoting layouts behind headboards, or as an elegant crown over fireplaces
- With its 48.5 cm width, it can be positioned at the top-center of standard door and window casings to create a classic door pediment effect
- In spacious hallways, hotel lobbies, or restaurant walls, it can be used as a repeating motif to establish a cohesive classical theme
- For exterior designs, it serves as a decorative relief on window pediments, at the keystone level of entrance arches, or within the spaces above floor cornices, giving buildings a refined aesthetic identity
- Before installation, ensure that the application surface is dry, clean, and free of dust
- Apply Polure Polfix adhesive to the back of the product and position it on the wall
- For a permanent and secure bond, mechanical fastening with screws or nails is mandatory
- Screw heads and joints should be filled with an exterior-grade acrylic putty
- Once dry, sand the surface smooth using 180-220 grit sandpaper
- An optional coat of primer can be applied based on the paint manufacturer's recommendations
- In the final step, apply at least two coats of water-based or synthetic paint
- For outdoor applications, using a UV-resistant exterior paint is essential to protect against sunlight degradation
- Polyurethane decorative elements require minimal maintenance
- Indoors, they can be easily cleaned using a duster or a damp cloth
- Since the material has a water absorption rate of less than 1%, washing it with high-pressure water outdoors is perfectly safe
- Avoid using harsh chemicals containing abrasive acids during cleaning
- For exterior applications, it is recommended to inspect the painted surface annually to maintain color vibrancy and ensure ongoing UV protection
Can this product be used on exterior facades?
Yes, thanks to its high-density structure and water absorption rate of less than 1%, it is fully suitable for exterior use. However, to protect it from the degrading effects of sunlight, it must be painted with a UV-resistant exterior paint.
What are the advantages of polyurethane over traditional plaster ornaments?
It is extremely lightweight compared to plaster, eliminating the risk of cracking or breaking during installation, and does not add static load to the building. Additionally, with good moisture tolerance and high resistance to rot, it can be safely used in humid areas like bathrooms.
Is the product factory-primed, and can it be painted directly?
Our product is delivered with a special factory-applied primer. While this primer prepares the surface for painting, applying an additional coat of primer is optional and left to the user's preference, in accordance with the warranty terms of different paint brands.
Which adhesive should be used for installation?
To achieve a secure and long-lasting installation, only Polure Polfix adhesive should be used. Silicone-based adhesives are not compatible with the chemical structure of this material and should be avoided.
Can it be used on furniture and cabinet doors?
Yes, thanks to its 4.5 cm depth and lightweight structure, it is highly suitable for use as a decorative applique on furniture surfaces such as wooden doors, wardrobe panels, and fireplace surrounds.
