The P80119L decorative ornament is a left-facing leaf motif designed to add aesthetic depth to wall, ceiling, and furniture surfaces. Inspired by the traditional acanthus leaf form, this relief piece brings classic architectural elegance to living spaces by adding movement to flat surfaces. It is ideal for symmetrical designs or as a standalone focal point.
Measuring 261 mm in height, 170 mm in width, and 16 mm in thickness, this motif is crafted from high-density (150-200 kg/m³) rigid polyurethane (PU). While it offers the durability and hardness of wood, it remains remarkably lightweight. Its closed-cell structure ensures complete resistance to moisture and water, preventing swelling, cracking, or rotting, while maintaining high dimensional stability against temperature fluctuations.
The finely detailed curves and prominent leaf veins are achieved through advanced molding technology. These details capture the aesthetic quality of traditional hand-carving while offering a much more shatter-resistant structure compared to plaster or wood alternatives. Thanks to its lightweight nature, it places no extra load on surfaces during installation.
Highly versatile, this motif is preferred for living room wall paneling (boiserie), door and window pediments, fireplace surrounds, and furniture restoration. It is also suitable for exterior use; however, to prevent the unpainted material from yellowing under sunlight, coating it with UV-resistant paint is mandatory for outdoor applications.
For installation, the surface must be clean and dry. Apply Polure Polfix adhesive to the back of the product, press it onto the surface, and support it with small nails or screws until dry. The factory-applied primer makes the surface ready for painting. However, since paint manufacturers may not guarantee applications without their own primers, applying an additional primer coat is entirely optional.
- Thanks to its versatile design, this decorative applique motif has a wide range of applications both indoors and, after proper painting, on exterior facades
- Indoors, it is preferred as a corner ornament for wall paneling (boiserie) projects in living rooms, hallways, bedrooms, and hotel lobbies
- It can be used as a crowning detail on top of door and window frames
- In furniture manufacturing, it is ideal for creating a classic look on wardrobe doors, headboards, and sideboard fronts
- On exteriors, it provides aesthetic harmony as a decorative filler around window casings, under eaves, and on building entrance door details
- Ensure that the application surface is dry and free of dust, moisture, and dirt
- Apply high-strength Polure Polfix adhesive to the back of the product and press it onto the designated area
- To support the piece until the adhesive is fully cured, mechanical fastening with small nails or screws should be used
- Any gaps at joints or screw holes can be filled with putty, and once dry, smoothed with 180-220 grit sandpaper
- The factory primer on the product is ready for painting; however, an additional primer coat may be optionally preferred to comply with paint manufacturers' application warranties
- In the final step, apply at least two coats of water-based or synthetic paint
- Cleaning the product is highly practical; dust can easily be wiped off the surface using a slightly damp, soft cloth
- Avoid using detergents containing abrasive particles, thinners, or harsh acidic chemicals during cleaning
- Protecting it from physical impacts indoors will extend its lifespan
- For exterior applications, it is recommended to periodically inspect the painted surface and repaint if necessary to maintain the paint's resistance to UV rays
