The P80117R polyurethane decorative motif is a right-facing ornamental element designed to bring classic architectural aesthetics into modern living spaces. With its fine carving details, acanthus leaf reliefs, and elegant volute scrolls, it adds depth to wall panels, furniture, and door pediments. When paired symmetrically with its left-facing counterpart, it creates a perfectly balanced visual composition.
Measuring 260 mm in width, 215 mm in height, and 19 mm in thickness, this product offers the ideal decorative scale. Manufactured from high-density rigid polyurethane (150-200 kg/m³), this ornament matches the hardness of wood while remaining exceptionally lightweight. Thanks to its closed-cell structure, it has a water absorption rate of less than 1%, completely preventing swelling, rotting, or warping in humid environments.
The acanthus leaf motif features sharp, crisp lines that beautifully capture the play of light and shadow. Unlike traditional plaster ornaments, it will not crack or crumble over time. It also eliminates the risks of insect infestation or warping associated with natural wood. Compared to EPS styrofoam alternatives, it is significantly more impact-resistant, smooth, and easily sandable.
The factory-applied primer coat on the surface ensures excellent adhesion for the topcoat. However, since paint manufacturers do not guarantee applications without their own primers, applying an additional primer is optional and at the customer's discretion. Polure assumes no liability for issues arising after painting. For outdoor applications, a UV-resistant paint is mandatory to protect the product from sunlight degradation.
Installation is highly practical. Once positioned on a clean, dry surface, the product is mechanically secured using Polure Polfix adhesive and screws. Screw heads and joints are filled with putty, lightly sanded, and made ready for painting. With its ability to withstand temperatures ranging from -20°C to +80°C without losing its shape, it ensures a long-lasting decorative solution.
- This decorative corner ornament offers versatile aesthetic solutions for both interiors and, with proper paint application, exterior facades
- It can be positioned symmetrically as left and right pairs in the inner corners of wall molding frames (boiserie) in living rooms, hallways, or bedrooms
- It yields excellent results for surface embellishments on classic-style furniture such as wardrobe doors, dressers, and headboards
- It is also preferred as a decorative filler motif on the upper corners of door and window casings, around mirror frames, or on wood/plaster fireplace surrounds
- Additionally, it is widely used to enrich the corners of ceiling medallions in hotel lobbies, classic restaurants, and prestigious office projects
- The installation surface must be completely free of dust, moisture, and dirt
- Apply Polure Polfix polyurethane adhesive to the back of the product (silicone-based adhesives should not be used as they do not provide sufficient strength)
- Once placed on the designated surface, the motif is mechanically secured with small screws to prevent slipping during the drying process
- Screw holes and gaps along the edges are filled with acrylic putty
- After the putty dries, smooth the surface using 180-220 grit sandpaper
- Following an optional extra coat of primer, complete the installation by applying at least two coats of water-based or synthetic paint
- Polyurethane decorative elements require minimal maintenance
- Dust can be easily wiped clean using a soft, damp cloth
- Avoid using abrasive pads or harsh chemical cleaners containing alcohol, thinners, or acids
- For outdoor applications, it is recommended to inspect the surface once a year and touch up the paint if necessary to maintain its UV protection
