The P80224R decorative corner motif is designed to create an elegant focal point in wall paneling and ceiling decorations for both interior and exterior projects. Combining the intricate details of traditional architecture with modern manufacturing technology, this product adds movement and depth to plain, flat surfaces. It is highly preferred as a complementary motif element, especially at the corners of wall moulding frames or in ceiling designs.
The product measures 499 mm in height, 238 mm in width, and 21 mm in thickness. Thanks to these balanced dimensions, it can be used seamlessly on spacious living room walls as well as in narrower corridors or over-door transition areas without causing any scale issues. Manufactured from high-density rigid polyurethane (150-220 kg/m³), it offers wood-like durability while remaining remarkably lightweight. Its closed-cell structure makes it resistant to moisture, water, and rot.
The visual design features classic acanthus leaf scrolls and botanical spiral forms. The delicate relief details cascading downwards create a three-dimensional sense of depth through the interplay of light and shadow. The high molding quality ensures that even the finest veins and curves appear smooth and crisp.
Prior to application, the product surface features a factory-applied white primer. This layer facilitates paint adhesion. However, since paint manufacturers do not guarantee paint jobs done without their own primers, applying an additional primer coat after installation is completely optional and left to the customer's discretion. Polure assumes no responsibility for paint-related issues that may occur after painting.
Unlike plaster alternatives, this decorative element does not crack or crumble, ensuring a clean, waste-free installation. Since it does not suffer from insect infestation, cracking, or warping over time like wood, it promises long-lasting durability for both interior and exterior applications.
- The P80224R corner ornament offers versatile application possibilities, particularly in spaces styled with classic and neoclassical designs
- Indoors, it is placed in the inner corners of rectangular frames created in wall paneling projects to add a noble touch to the walls
- This combination is highly popular in living rooms, dining rooms, hotel lobbies, and restaurant walls
- It can also be used as a crowning decorative element on the upper corners of door and window casings
- Additionally, it is ideal for creating harmonious compositions with crown moldings around large ceiling medallions or ceiling corners
- Thanks to its water and moisture-resistant structure, it can be utilized for decorative purposes on mirror frames or furniture doors in wet areas like bathrooms and spas
- On exterior facades, it can be painted with UV-resistant exterior paint and applied to window borders, corner joints of floor moldings, or under eaves to give the building a classic architectural identity
- The installation surface must be dry, clean, and free of dust
- Apply Polure Polfix polyurethane adhesive to the back of the product and position it on the wall or ceiling
- Mechanical fastening with fine nails or screws is mandatory to prevent slipping while the adhesive cures
- Screw heads and joints should be filled using exterior-grade putty or acrylic joint sealant
- Once the filler dries, sand the surface with 180-220 grit sandpaper to achieve a smooth finish
- After optionally applying an additional primer coat (recommended by paint manufacturers for their product warranties), complete the installation by applying at least two coats of water-based or synthetic paint
- For exterior applications, a UV-resistant exterior paint must be used
- Maintenance of the polyurethane corner ornament is exceptionally practical
- For indoor use, it can be easily cleaned using a duster or a slightly damp cloth
- Avoid using abrasive powder detergents, highly acidic chemicals, or thinner-based solvents during cleaning
- For products installed outdoors, the paint should be inspected periodically depending on its lifespan and touched up if necessary
- Thanks to its rigid, high-impact resistant structure, it does not deform or crumble
Can the P80224R corner ornament be used on exterior facades?
Yes, thanks to its high-density structure, it is highly resistant to water and moisture. It can be safely used outdoors; however, to protect it from UV damage, it must be painted with a UV-resistant exterior paint after installation.
Which adhesive should I use for installation?
For a secure and long-lasting bond, Polure Polfix polyurethane adhesive must be used. Do not install using silicone or standard fillers, and make sure to support the product with screws or nails until the adhesive fully cures.
Is it mandatory to apply an additional primer coat before painting?
The product comes with a factory-applied primer. However, since paint manufacturers do not guarantee performance on surfaces without their own primers, applying an additional primer coat is optional and left to the customer's choice. Polure does not accept liability for paint-related issues.
What are its advantages compared to plaster ornaments?
Polyurethane is not fragile like plaster; it does not crack or crumble even if subjected to impacts during or after installation. Include the product weight and fixing loads when assessing the substrate and supporting structure.
Can the product be glued onto wooden furniture?
Yes, thanks to its lightweight design and flat back surface, it can easily be applied as a decorative motif on wooden furniture doors, fireplace surrounds, mirror, and picture frames using Polure Polfix adhesive.
