The P80240R decorative ornament is an elegant architectural element that brings the exquisite details of acanthus leaves and baroque scrolls—hallmarks of traditional carving—into modern living spaces. It is the perfect accent for architects and homeowners looking to add depth and an artistic touch to walls, ceiling corners, or furniture surfaces. Reflecting the richness of classic relief art, this unique piece lends a distinguished character to any surface it graces.
Engineered to superior technical standards, this ornament measures 221 mm in width, 194 mm in height, and 24 mm in thickness, delivering a compact yet highly pronounced relief effect. Crafted from high-density rigid polyurethane (150-200 kg/m³), it offers a surface hardness and impact resistance comparable to real wood. Thanks to its closed-cell structure, it is fully resistant to water, moisture, and decay, making it ideal for humid environments like bathrooms or outdoor facade applications.
The visual design features an asymmetric acanthus leaf motif seamlessly integrated with flowing C and S scrolls. Unlike traditional plaster ornaments, it is exceptionally lightweight, eliminating the risk of cracking or crumbling during installation. Compared to hand-carved wood, it maintains flawless detail consistency across every piece and is immune to cracking, warping, or insect infestation over time. This ensures a faster installation process and a long-lasting decorative solution.
The P80240R model offers versatile application possibilities. It can be used as a corner accent in boiserie wall paneling, a focal point on fireplace mantels, or an applique on classic wardrobe doors. For exterior designs, it serves as a decorative corbel or bracket under eaves and above window pediments. For outdoor installations, applying a UV-resistant paint is required to protect the product from sunlight degradation.
During installation, Polure Polfix adhesive should be applied to the cleaned surface, and the product should be mechanically secured with screws. Delivered with a factory-applied white primer, the surface is ready for the final topcoat. However, since paint manufacturers may not warranty finishes applied without their own primers, an additional primer coat before the topcoat is optional and left to the user's discretion. It can be easily painted with water-based or synthetic paints to match your decor.
- Thanks to its versatile design, this decorative applique and ornament is widely used in both interior and exterior applications
- Indoors, it adds a rich touch to the corners of boiserie wall molding frames in living rooms, hallways, and bedrooms
- In classic furniture designs, it is preferred as a wood-carving alternative on headboards, wardrobe doors, consoles, and dressers
- It also serves as a stunning focal point on fireplace mantels and the crowns of mirror or picture frames
- Externally, it enhances architectural value when used as a decorative accent on window and door pediments, cornices, or under eaves
- The installation surface must be completely dry, clean, and free of dust, moisture, and grease
- Apply a continuous bead of Polure Polfix polyurethane adhesive to the back of the product
- Once positioned on the wall or furniture surface, mechanically secure the ornament with fine nails or screws until the adhesive cures
- Fill any gaps at joint lines and screw heads with a flexible acrylic filler
- Once dry, sand the surface smooth using 180-220 grit sandpaper
- An optional additional primer can be applied over the factory primer depending on the paint manufacturer's recommendation, followed by two coats of water-based or synthetic paint
- Polyurethane decorative elements offer long-lasting durability with extremely low maintenance
- Dust can be easily wiped off using a slightly damp cloth or a soft sponge without any harsh chemical cleaners
- For outdoor installations, it is recommended to inspect the joints and paint integrity once a year against harsh weather conditions
- If you wish to change the color scheme in the future, you can easily repaint the surface after a light sanding
