In large-scale event and wedding venue projects, high-density polyurethane elements are highly preferred to achieve architectural depth and structural aesthetics. In spacious, high-ceilinged commercial spaces, creating the grand column and arch structures of classical architecture without adding extra load to the load-bearing system becomes extremely practical with polyurethane profiles. In this project, the layered design applied to the backdrop and wall surfaces was planned to optimize the acoustic and visual balance of the venue.
To create a focal point on the stage, decorative column shafts and capitals from the Polure product catalog—specifically codes P5220C, P5220C50, P5230I, P5230I50, P5520, P552050, P5820, and P582050—were integrated into the architectural structure. These modular column elements can be easily cut and assembled on-site to fit various ceiling heights. Available in fluted and smooth shaft alternatives, the columns frame the niche area behind the stage to enhance the sense of depth, while reinforcing the project's architectural language with classical Ionic and Corinthian style capital details.
For the wall panels and transition arches, P1456D135VI, P1456D160VIA, and P1456D160VID pre-formed round arch models were utilized to ensure the flawless application of circular forms. These pre-curved elements completely eliminate the symmetry and smoothness issues commonly encountered in traditional plaster craftsmanship. The P1456 and P1470 casing models, preferred for framing flat wall surfaces, create symmetrical panels, while the P2812L and P2812R decorative ornaments used at corner and pediment joints add a rich dimension to the wall details.
One of the primary reasons for choosing polyurethane in this classically decorated wedding hall is material durability. In high-traffic event spaces where the risk of impact is high, the high-density structure of polyurethane resists wear and tear. Furthermore, thanks to its smooth surface texture, it perfectly accommodates gold leaf, antique patina, and lacquer paint finishes, offering long-lasting and prestigious utility.
Design Details
- P5220C and P5520 series modular polyurethane columns offer flexible installation that easily adapts to varying ceiling heights.
- Pre-formed circular arch elements like P1456D160VIA and P1456D160VID minimize on-site labor time and dimensional margin of error.
- P2812L and P2812R symmetrical decorative elements support the golden ratio rules of classical architecture in pediments and crowns.
- P1456 and P1470 trim profiles used on wall surfaces add dynamism to flat panels by creating deep light-and-shadow plays.
- The high-density polyurethane material structure provides high resistance to impact and wear in high-traffic areas like wedding halls.
- Smooth polyurethane surfaces, fully compatible with gold leaf and paint, deliver authentic results in classical palace-style decors.
