Polyurethane ceiling rose and cassette ceiling decoration create a raised focal point around central lighting and an ordered geometric layout in a living room. In this classic interior, a wide circular rose is formed with segmented shapes radiating from the centre, while a second ring with small round ornaments surrounds it. The dark blue-green surface brings the bronze and gold lighting elements forward. This composition can be adapted for projects that define the chandelier position with an architectural centre, especially in rooms with high ceilings.
A polyurethane ceiling medallion can be used on its own or combined with square cassette ceiling panels. Around the central circle, the ceiling sections feature layered square frames, small circular centres and corner ornaments. This segmented arrangement brings the circular rose and the ceiling’s linear cassettes together on one surface. When selecting products for a classic living room, consider the rose diameter, chandelier size, cassette rhythm and perceived ceiling height as a whole. This allows the decorative elements to support the order of the ceiling rather than compete with the furniture and lighting.
Polyurethane decorative elements are made from high-density cast PU with a density of 150-220 kg/m³. Their closed-cell structure has a water absorption value below 1%. Dimensional stability has been tested across a range of -20 °C / +70 °C. Factory-primed pieces can be painted with water-based or synthetic paint according to the colour specified in the project. Reaction-to-fire performance should be assessed according to the product and application conditions; the material classification DIN 4102-1 B2 indicates normal flammability, while a flame-retardant additive can be considered separately.
Polyurethane mounting adhesive should be used when installing a polyurethane ceiling rose, with screws and wall plugs added where mechanical support is required. Silicone is not suitable for this product group. Rose and cassette components are decorative and do not carry structural loads or replace the load-bearing function of the existing ceiling. The connection plan for wide or heavy pieces should be prepared according to the selected product section and the condition of the ceiling surface. The segmented surface of the central rose visually connects the vertical line of the chandelier chain to the centre of the ceiling. Repeated round ornaments on the outer ring create a measured rhythm around the broad circular form. Small centres within the square cassettes extend the scale of the main rose to the other ceiling sections of the room. The dark blue-green paint emphasises the contrast between light and shadow across the relief surfaces while creating a controlled colour contrast with the bronze lighting. In this application, the direction of the cassette frames should be considered together with the circular geometry of the rose. When selecting products for a classic style, assess not only the central medallion but also the borders and corner details of the surrounding cassettes as part of the same composition.
