Column Capital

A column capital is the profiled, embossed polyurethane top piece that seats at the upper end of a column shaft, connecting it to the ceiling or arch. It is used to finish the top of the column and give a classic architectural look. The polyurethane column capital is lightweight and applied with installation adhesive over the shaft; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack or swell, and can be painted. Being lighter than a stone or gypsum capital, it makes installation easier in tall spaces. Polure produces the column capital in different styles such as Doric, Ionic and Corinthian and in sizes matched to the shaft diameter using moulds, with the embossed detail repeating identically on every piece.
