Polyurethane Surround And Crown

A polyurethane surround and crown is an arrangement in which a casing profile that frames the edges of an opening is used together with a crown ornament that sits on top of that frame. While the surround wraps the window or door, the crown adds a symmetrical top accent above the opening; combined, they form a completed opening frame. It is used on exterior facades and indoors. The polyurethane material is lightweight and is applied with adhesive and dowels; it resists moisture, frost and impact, does not crack or swell and can be painted. It is lighter and faster to fit than a stone or plaster equivalent. Because the profiles are cast in moulds, the section and surface detail stay consistent from piece to piece. Polure produces surround and crown pieces in coordinated sizes.
