The P2841 polyurethane architectural pediment is a premium decorative element designed to bring the grandeur of traditional palace architecture to modern door and window headers. Engineered to create a striking focal point in wide-facade projects, this exquisite design adds depth to building entrances and window casing systems. Unlike heavy plaster or marble alternatives, its lightweight structure ensures seamless aesthetic integration without adding structural load.
Manufactured from high-density rigid polyurethane (150-200 kg/m³), this product offers wood-like hardness and exceptional impact resistance while remaining light enough for easy transport and installation. Measuring 153.5 cm in width, 51.5 cm in height, and 19 cm in depth, it delivers a bold, three-dimensional profile. Thanks to its closed-cell structure, the water absorption rate is below 1%, preventing rotting, cracking, or warping caused by humidity, rain, and moisture.
The visual design features a central oval shield motif flanked by symmetrical, elegant leaf scrolls. Reflecting the signature characteristics of classic Baroque and Neoclassical styles, the relief carvings are enriched with intricate details. The sweeping acanthus leaf scrolls extending to both sides give the crown a dynamic, fluid movement. High-precision molding technology ensures that even the finest lines of the motifs are sharply rendered on the surface.
This versatile decorative header is ideal for luxury villa exteriors, hotel lobbies, upscale restaurant entrances, or high-ceilinged interior doors. It can be integrated into interior wall paneling or exterior window trim systems. Shipped pre-primed from the factory, it is ready for painting. However, to comply with paint manufacturer warranties, an optional additional coat of primer is recommended before applying the final topcoat.
Installation is remarkably fast and practical compared to traditional materials. For secure mounting, Polure Polfix adhesive must be used in combination with stainless steel screws for mechanical fastening. Silicone-based adhesives are not suitable for this material. Once screw holes and joints are filled with flexible filler and sanded smooth, the product can be painted with UV-resistant exterior paints to preserve its pristine look for years.
- This product is designed to accentuate doors and windows in large-scale architectural projects, both indoors and on exterior facades
- It is particularly well-suited for classic villa facades, serving as a defining header above window trim systems
- Indoors, it creates a grand transition effect over portal doors in prestigious hotel lobbies, ballrooms, fine dining restaurants, or luxury residences
- With a width of 153.5 cm, it fits perfectly over standard single doors or medium-width windows as a single, seamless piece without requiring joints
- Additionally, it serves as an elegant centerpiece for over-mantel fireplace designs or headboard wall panel compositions
- The installation surface must be dry, clean, and level
- Apply Polure Polfix adhesive to the back of the product and position it on the wall
- Although it is lightweight, its 19 cm depth requires mechanical fastening with stainless steel screws for safety
- Screw heads must be countersunk, and all screw holes and joints should be sealed using a flexible exterior-grade filler
- Once the filler dries, sand the surface smooth with 180-220 grit sandpaper
- The factory-applied primer provides an excellent base; however, applying an additional coat of primer is recommended to meet paint manufacturers' warranty terms
- Finally, apply at least two coats of paint—using UV-resistant paint for exteriors, and water-based or synthetic paint for interiors
- Thanks to its rigid and durable structure, maintenance is exceptionally easy
- For indoor applications, it can be cleaned using a duster or a damp cloth
- For exterior installations, simply wash with regular water and a soft brush, avoiding abrasive chemicals and high-pressure washers
- Depending on exposure to weather conditions, we recommend checking the paint every few years and refreshing it with a UV-protective exterior paint if necessary
- Avoid any contact with acidic or strong solvent-based cleaning agents
