Designed to accentuate the upper sections of doors, windows, and archways in architectural projects, this decorative polyurethane pediment crown adds a classic depth to facade designs and interior wall paneling. Breaking the monotony of standard flat jamb lines to give structures a monumental character, this product is preferred as a complementary lintel ornament in both restoration projects and next-generation classical designs.
Measuring 82.8 cm in width, 23 cm in height, and 4.2 cm in depth, this model offers ideal proportions for medium to wide door and window openings. The high-density rigid polyurethane raw material (150-200 kg/m³) used in its production provides the durability of wood while maintaining a lightweight structure for easy installation. Thanks to its closed-cell structure, its water absorption rate is virtually zero, preventing swelling, rotting, or cracking even in humid climates.
Featuring a visual design dominated by symmetrical Baroque lines, the product showcases a detailed central rose motif. Elegant leaf scrolls extending to both sides of this motif and an oval medallion positioned at the apex enhance the relief depth on the surface, accentuating the play of light and shadow. Thanks to precision molding technology, even the finest carving details boast a smooth, crisp clarity.
The product is delivered factory-primed in white. This special surface coating facilitates the adhesion of the topcoat paint. However, since paint manufacturers do not guarantee applications made without their own primers, applying an additional primer is entirely at the user's discretion. Polure accepts no responsibility for the performance of subsequently applied paints. For exterior use, the material must be painted with a UV-resistant exterior paint to protect it from sunlight.
Compared to traditional heavy plaster or moisture-sensitive wood ornaments, this polyurethane decor does not add extra load to the building and poses no risk of falling and breaking during tremors like earthquakes. Using Polure Polfix adhesive during installation and securing it mechanically with screws is mandatory for a long-lasting and safe application.
- This decorative pediment model offers aesthetic solutions for both interiors and exteriors with its wide range of applications
- On exteriors, it is positioned especially on the upper jamb lines of windows, either as a crowning element on its own or paired with keystones
- It creates a grand welcoming detail above building entrance portals and main entry doors
- Indoors, it can be used for classic wall decorations above fireplaces, at the apex of living room archways, on headboard wall paneling, and as an upper crown frame for large decorative mirrors or paintings
- It is highly recommended as a focal point to complement wall molding applications in hotel lobbies, restaurants, and prestigious residential projects
- The installation surface must be completely free of dust, moisture, and grease
- Apply Polure Polfix adhesive to the back of the product and press it onto the wall or facade
- To ensure the material is fully secured and does not slip, mechanical fastening with screws or nails is mandatory
- Screw holes and joints should be filled with an exterior-grade acrylic putty and then smoothed with 180-220 grit sandpaper
- Following an optional additional primer application, the installation is completed by applying at least two coats of water-based or synthetic topcoat paint
- For indoor use, dust can be removed using a soft, damp cloth
- For exterior applications, it is recommended to periodically inspect the painted surface and refresh it with UV-resistant paint if fading or wear is noticed
- It is suitable for pressure washing; however, abrasive chemical cleaners and stiff brushes should be avoided to prevent damaging the surface paint
