The P2835 polyurethane pediment is a premium decorative element designed to bring classic architectural details to life above doors and windows. Suitable for both interior and exterior applications, this product transforms ordinary transition areas and window frames into rich architectural focal points. Combining the aesthetics of traditional hand-carving with modern manufacturing technology, this model is the perfect finishing touch for projects embracing classic and neoclassical styles.
The product features a depth of 61 mm, a width of 832 mm, and a height of 255 mm. With its prominent 6.1 cm depth, it creates a striking three-dimensional sense of depth on any surface. Its high-density rigid polyurethane structure (150-200 kg/m³) offers wood-like durability while imposing no extra static load on the building, unlike heavy plaster or marble alternatives. Thanks to its closed-cell structure, it is fully resistant to moisture and water, preventing rotting or swelling.
The visual design highlights a central circular floral motif (rosette) within a perfectly symmetrical layout. Extending outward from this center, elegant acanthus leaf scrolls and graceful S-curves reflect the finest examples of classical architecture. Thanks to advanced 3D molding technology, every intricate curve is rendered with flawless precision and smoothness.
The product is shipped factory-primed with a special white surface coating. While this primer prepares the surface for painting, paint manufacturers often do not guarantee applications without their own primers; therefore, applying an additional primer is optional and at the customer's discretion. Polure does not warrant paint applications. For exterior installations, using UV-resistant paints suitable for outdoor use is mandatory to prevent yellowing caused by sunlight.
Standing out with its shatterproof structure compared to plaster and superior moisture resistance compared to wood, this polyurethane pediment offers a long-lasting, maintenance-free solution. For system longevity, it is essential to use Polure Polfix adhesive during installation along with mechanical fastening using screws. Its easily sandable and fillable structure allows joint lines to be completely concealed after installation.
- The P2835 polyurethane pediment is highly versatile, making it ideal for both interior decoration and exterior facade projects
- Indoors, it can be used above living room and hallway transition doors, to crown large bookcases or wooden library units, as wall decoration above classic fireplaces, and in wall panel designs behind headboards
- Outdoors, it is preferred as an aesthetic pediment above windows in combination with architraves, or over entrance doors of villas, hotels, and historical buildings
- When combined with vertical jambs or pilasters on the sides, it creates a cohesive, grand portal look
- The installation surface must be clean, dry, and free of dust
- Position the product correctly on the mounting surface
- For bonding, only Polure Polfix polyurethane adhesive must be used; silicon-based adhesives should be avoided
- After applying the adhesive, mechanical fastening with screws is mandatory to ensure the product sits firmly and does not slip
- Screw holes and joints should be filled with a high-quality exterior-grade filler
- Once the filler dries, smooth the surface using 180-220 grit sandpaper
- Afterward, an optional extra primer and 2 coats of topcoat paint can be applied
- The use of UV-resistant paint is mandatory for exterior applications
- Since polyurethane products are moisture and water-resistant, cleaning them is extremely easy
- They can be periodically wiped down with a damp cloth free of chemical abrasives
- For exterior applications, it is recommended to inspect the painted surface every few years and renew it if necessary to extend the lifespan of the paint
- Painted surfaces are suitable for washing with high-pressure water
