The P2832 decorative polyurethane pediment is an elegant architectural element designed to add depth and sophistication to both interior and exterior spaces. Measuring 62 cm in width, 19.4 cm in height, and 5.2 cm in depth, it offers perfectly balanced proportions for door headers, window arches, large mirror frames, and furniture panels. Combining the rich forms of classical architecture with modern manufacturing technology, this decorative crown creates an aesthetic focal point wherever it is applied.
Crafted from high-density rigid polyurethane (150-200 kg/m³), this product offers a hardness and durability comparable to wood. Unlike traditional plaster materials, this specialized raw material is exceptionally lightweight and highly impact-resistant. Thanks to its closed-cell structure, its water absorption rate is below one percent, ensuring reliable, long-term use in humid environments, bathrooms, or exterior facades without rotting, swelling, or warping.
The visual design features a striking fan-like seashell motif at its center. Symmetrically framing this central element are classical volutes (scrolls) and finely detailed leaf patterns, giving the design a fluid sense of movement. With a thickness of 52 mm, the relief patterns cast beautiful shadows and exhibit a rich three-dimensional depth that stands out under both artificial indoor lighting and natural daylight.
Highly versatile, this decorative pediment is ideal for grand entrance doors, window lintels, crowning decorative fireplace mantels, or accentuating headboard wall panels. It offers enhanced safety with its flame-retardant, self-extinguishing properties. Additionally, this material provides minor thermal and acoustic insulation, combining technical advantages with its decorative function.
The product is shipped pre-coated with a white industrial primer applied during manufacturing. This factory primer is designed to enhance the adhesion of the topcoat. However, since paint manufacturers typically do not guarantee applications without their own primers, applying an additional primer coat before or after installation is entirely optional and at the customer's discretion. Polure does not assume responsibility for the performance or durability of the paints used.
For installation, Polure Polfix polyurethane adhesive is applied to the cleaned surface. In addition to the adhesive, mechanical fastening with screws is mandatory for safety and long-term durability. Screw heads and joints should be filled with acrylic filler, sanded smooth with 180-220 grit sandpaper, and finished with at least two coats of water-based or synthetic paint. For exterior applications, UV-resistant paint must be used to protect against yellowing caused by sunlight.
- This decorative pediment crown features a wide range of applications for both interior and exterior spaces
- Indoors, it is frequently preferred above living room door casings, atop classic bookcases or display cabinets, in bedroom headboard wall designs, and as fireplace mantel decorations
- Outdoors, it serves as an elegant lintel complementing window casing systems
- It is an ideal decorative element to achieve aesthetic harmony in hotel lobbies, restaurants, villa facades, and historical building restoration projects
- For exterior applications, it must be coated with UV-resistant paint to ensure weather protection
- The installation surface must be dry, clean, and free of dust
- Apply Polure Polfix polyurethane adhesive in strips to the back of the product and press it firmly against the wall
- To prevent slipping and ensure safety until the adhesive cures, mechanical fastening with screws is required
- Fill screw holes and joints with a high-quality exterior filler
- Once dry, sand the surface smooth using 180-220 grit sandpaper
- After optionally applying an extra coat of primer, complete the installation by painting with at least two coats of water-based or synthetic paint
- Cleaning the product is exceptionally easy; it can be wiped periodically with a soft, damp cloth
- Avoid using abrasive chemicals, strong acids, or solvents during cleaning
- For exterior applications, inspect the joints and paint condition once a year
- Dusty or dirty exterior surfaces can be easily washed by spraying with low-pressure water
