Polyurethane Door and Window Pediment Crown

Combining the majestic details of classical architecture with modern building technology, the P8049 polyurethane decorative pediment is designed to add aesthetic depth to door, window, and wall transitions. Used in pediment and crowning applications, this special piece breaks ordinary vertical and horizontal lines, lending a monumental character to structures. Suitable for both interior and exterior use (following proper painting), this product stands out for its lightweight and durable nature compared to traditional decorative elements.

With technical dimensions of 92.8 cm in width, 30.1 cm in height, and 4.1 cm in depth, it offers perfect proportions for wide door casings and window architraves. Manufactured from high-density (150-200 kg/m³) rigid polyurethane raw material, this crown features a structure as tough and impact-resistant as wood. Thanks to its closed-cell structure, its water absorption rate is below one percent, meaning it remains unaffected by moisture, rot, and insect infestation. Boasting high dimensional stability, it does not shrink, expand, or crack under temperature fluctuations.

Its visual design showcases the most exquisite motifs of classical and neoclassical architecture. The oval cartridge detail at the very center of the product is symmetrically flanked by acanthus leaves and elegantly curved spiral forms. This carved relief structure, featuring smooth and sharp lines, creates a strong sense of depth by playing with light and shadow on the applied surface.

The P8049 pediment model has a wide range of applications, from luxury residential projects to historical building restorations. Indoors, it is preferred as a crowning element above living room entrance doors, on fireplace mantels, at the top of large decorative mirror frames, or in classical furniture designs. On exteriors, it is used to enrich structures in over-window molding combinations, entrance portals, and under-eave decorations.

Thanks to its lightweight structure, it offers great ease of installation compared to plaster and stone alternatives. It is applied to a cleaned surface using Polure Polfix adhesive and secured mechanically with screws. Shipped from the factory with a white primer coat, it is recommended to optionally apply an additional primer coat to preserve the paint manufacturers' own primer and paint warranties. The process is then completed by applying two coats of water-based or synthetic paint. For exterior applications, using UV-resistant paint is essential to prevent the degrading effects of sunlight.
