Polyurethane Precast Facade

A polyurethane precast facade is the arrangement of a building's exterior surface with polyurethane precast elements such as surrounds, cornices, sills, columns and panels. It gives the facade a stone or concrete precast appearance but uses lightweight polyurethane instead of heavy concrete. The elements are fixed directly to the facade surface with construction adhesive and screws. The polyurethane material resists moisture and outdoor weather conditions, does not crack or swell, and can be painted with exterior facade paint. Being far lighter than concrete precast places no extra load on the structure and makes handling and installation easier. Since the elements are mould-produced, the dimensions and profile repeat identically on every piece, which provides a tidy line on the facade.
