Door Crown

A door crown is a polyurethane decorative crown (pediment) piece placed above a door, framing it from the top. Mounted on the casing or directly onto the wall, it gives the door entrance an accent. It is used at interior and exterior door entrances for classical, neoclassical and symmetrical facade looks. The polyurethane material is light and applies directly with assembly adhesive and screws; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack or swell and can be painted. Being lighter than plaster makes installation at high points such as above a door easier, and unlike wood it is unaffected by moisture. Because it is mould-cast, the profile and motif details repeat identically on every piece. Polure produces door crowns in a range of widths and forms.
