The P8050 is a decorative pediment crown featuring classic architectural details, designed to add elegance and movement to door and window headers. It offers a modern, durable alternative to heavy, fragile traditional plaster ornaments and moisture-sensitive woodwork. This decorative element creates depth on vertical surfaces, elevating the overall architectural perception of any space.
With technical specifications of 905 mm in width, 198 mm in height, and 42 mm in depth, it provides perfectly balanced proportions for standard door frames and window lintels. Its rigid polyurethane structure, featuring a density of 150-200 kg/m³, delivers impact resistance comparable to hardwood. Thanks to its closed-cell structure, water absorption is below 1%, preventing swelling, rotting, or degradation in humid environments. Furthermore, it maintains its dimensional stability under temperature fluctuations ranging from -20°C to +80°C.
The visual design stands out with a central symmetrical acanthus leaf motif flanked by elegant, outward-curving scrolls (volutes). Utilizing high-precision molding technology, even the finest carved and embossed details are rendered with crisp, smooth clarity. The product is delivered with a factory-applied white primer, providing a clean surface ready for your choice of topcoat paint.
Offering a wide range of applications, this polyurethane decorative element can be used indoors above living room doors, over wide window arches, as fireplace mantel accents, or integrated into wall paneling behind bed headboards. For exteriors, it is a preferred choice for villa entrances, hotel windows, and decorative accents above floor cornices. For outdoor applications, a UV-resistant paint is required to ensure maximum protection against weathering.
During installation, Polure Polfix adhesive should be applied to the cleaned surface, and the product must be mechanically secured using screws. Once screw holes and joints are filled and sanded smooth, the painting process can begin. Although the factory primer prepares the surface, applying an additional primer coat is optional and left to the customer's preference in accordance with paint manufacturers' system warranties. Polure assumes no liability for post-applied paints.
- The P8050 decorative pediment crown is highly versatile, suitable for both interior and exterior projects
- Indoors, it serves as a stunning focal point above doors in classic living rooms, over hallway archways, and as an accent above large fireplaces
- It can also be used as a decorative crown atop wall panel frames behind headboards in bedrooms
- On exteriors, it is a preferred choice for window headers or as a grand pediment over main entrance doors in villas, hotels, restaurants, and prestigious building projects
- If used outdoors, the product must be finished with a UV-resistant exterior paint to protect it from sun damage
- The installation surface must be completely free of dust, dirt, and moisture
- Apply Polure Polfix polyurethane adhesive in strips to the back of the P8050 pediment
- Once positioned on the wall or facade, the product must be mechanically secured with screws at appropriate points to prevent slipping while the adhesive cures
- Screw heads should be slightly countersunk
- Following installation, fill the screw holes and any gaps along the edges with high-quality acrylic or exterior-grade filler
- Once the filler is dry, sand the surface smooth using 180-220 grit sandpaper
- An additional primer coat may optionally be applied to comply with paint manufacturers' warranty requirements
- Complete the installation by applying at least two coats of water-based or synthetic paint
- Maintenance of the polyurethane pediment is highly practical
- For indoor use, accumulated dust can be easily wiped away with a slightly damp cloth
- Avoid using harsh chemical cleaners containing strong acids, abrasives, or thinners, as they may damage the surface
- For exterior applications, the product can be cleaned of seasonal dirt using low-pressure water and a soft brush
- To extend the lifespan of the paint outdoors, we recommend checking the paint finish every few years—depending on local weather conditions—and refreshing the topcoat as needed
