Decorative Pediment

A decorative pediment is a polyurethane ornamental element in a triangular or curved gable form placed above a door or window. In classic architecture it is used to crown the tops of openings and to give facades or interiors a monumental look. The polyurethane material is light and is fixed with assembly adhesive and screws; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack or blister and can be painted. Unlike a wood equivalent it is not affected by moisture, and compared with plaster it is lighter and more break-resistant. Because it is moulded, the gable profile and ornament details repeat identically on every piece. Polure produces decorative pediments in a range of sizes and forms.
