In luxury commercial projects and prestigious residential designs, the architectural character of entrance areas defines the first impression of a space. In this project, polyurethane pilaster column elements were strategically utilized to emphasize the vertical lines of classical architecture. Framing the doorway, the fluted column shafts of the P5020 and P5030 series combine with Corinthian-style gold-leafed capitals to give the space a monumental scale. The flawless details at the column base and capital junctions showcase the high molding quality of the polyurethane material and its structure that allows for fine craftsmanship.
The curved arch structure at the top of the entrance door is created with round arch profiles P1456D115VI50, P1456D160VI50, and P14D40D260VI25, which were custom-integrated into the project. These circular forms, which are highly laborious and costly to achieve with traditional plaster or woodwork, can be installed quickly and flawlessly on-site thanks to lightweight polyurethane profiles. The P2857 and P2857S crown ornaments used at the corner joints of the arch soften the sharp lines in the transition area, beautifully crowning the circular form.
The color palette choice brings a modern and dignified interpretation to classical decoration. The dark slate blue matte satin paint preferred for the background allows the gold-leafed P28120 ornaments and panel moldings on the polyurethane elements to stand out. Light reflections create shadow play on the fluted column surfaces and panel depths, giving the wall surface a three-dimensional depth. This contrast visually elevates the ceiling height even further.
For interior designers and project contractors, the greatest advantage offered by polyurethane is its high impact resistance and dimensional stability. Especially in high-traffic commercial spaces such as wedding halls and hotel lobbies, door frames and wall panels are frequently exposed to physical impacts. Thanks to their rigid structure, the P5020 and P5030 series polyurethane products preserve their initial aesthetic appearance for many years without cracking, breaking, or deforming.
Design Details
The fluted pilaster columns framing the entrance door vertically emphasize the ceiling height, giving the space a monumental entrance identity. The dark slate blue wall color creates a powerful contrast that highlights every fine detail of the gold-leafed polyurethane ornaments. The round arched design supports the circular form above the door, successfully applying the rules of symmetry and proportion in classical architecture. Large geometric panels on the right wall balance the heavy ornamentation around the doorway, providing a rhythm that is easy on the eyes. Thick baseboards and column pedestals where the floor meets the wall ensure a clean and professional finish for the transition details.
