The P83091A decorative ceiling profile is a large-scale cornice molding inspired by the finest examples of classical architecture. Featuring a prominent and robust profile with dimensions of 175 mm in depth and 175 mm in height, this product creates a striking architectural transition at the junction of walls and ceilings. Ideal for spacious living rooms, high-ceilinged lobbies, and prestigious projects, this decorative element brings the noble atmosphere of historic mansions and palaces to modern spaces.
Manufactured from high-density rigid polyurethane (150-200 kg/m³), this product offers a wood-like hardness while remaining exceptionally lightweight. Thanks to its closed-cell formulation, its water absorption rate is below one percent, providing complete resistance to moisture, humidity, and water. Maintaining its structural integrity in temperatures ranging from -20°C to +80°C, this material does not crack, crumble, shrink, or warp over time, unlike traditional plaster or MDF moldings.
The visual details feature exquisite Baroque-style floral reliefs, symmetrical leaf scrolls, and an elegant central cartouche motif. Combining the precision of traditional hand-carving with modern molding technology, these patterns cast smooth, sharp shadows after installation. Unlike fragile plaster alternatives that lose detail over time, this rigid polymer structure preserves even the finest motifs with their original sharpness for years to come.
Highly versatile in application, this profile is widely preferred in hotel lobbies, restaurants, classically decorated residences, and historical restoration projects. Thanks to its waterproof nature, it can be safely installed in humid interiors like bathrooms. Additionally, it serves as an excellent decorative finishing element in exterior designs, positioned under eaves or cornices to enhance the building's curb appeal.
Installation should be carried out on clean, dry surfaces using Polure Polfix adhesive after making 45-degree miter cuts. Supported with screws for mechanical fastening, the joints are puttied and sanded to prepare the profile for painting. The product is shipped with a factory-applied primer coat; however, applying an additional primer layer is left to the customer's preference in line with paint manufacturers' warranty conditions. For exterior applications, coating the surface with a UV-resistant exterior paint is mandatory.
- This large-scale cornice molding delivers the best visual results in spaces with a ceiling height of 2.80 meters and above
- Living rooms, dining rooms, spacious entry halls, hotel receptions, conference halls, and luxury restaurants are the primary interior application areas
- With its fully moisture-resistant structure, it can also be used for ceiling finishes in areas like Turkish baths, spas, and indoor pools
- In exterior designs, it can be positioned as a decorative supporting profile under eaves or cornices
- It is an indispensable, complementary detail for all villa, mansion, and hotel projects designed in classical and neoclassical styles
- The wall and ceiling surfaces for installation must be dry, clean, and level
- Profile corners are cut at a 45-degree angle using a miter saw
- Polure Polfix adhesive is applied to the joint surfaces and the back of the profile before positioning it
- To prevent heavy profiles from slipping during the drying process, mechanical fastening with screws or nails is mandatory
- Once the adhesive has dried, screw heads and joints are filled with a suitable joint compound; the dried compound is then sanded smooth with 180-220 grit sandpaper
- An additional primer can be applied over the factory primer according to the paint manufacturer's recommendation, followed by two coats of water-based or synthetic paint
- Since the product features a closed-cell structure unaffected by water and moisture, cleaning is extremely easy
- Dust and dirt can be effortlessly wiped away with a damp cloth, without using abrasive chemicals or stiff brushes
- Once painted for interior use, it requires no extra maintenance
- For exterior applications, to protect the paint from the effects of sunlight and weather conditions, it is recommended to inspect the paint condition every few years and refresh it with UV-resistant paint if necessary
