Designed to add depth to your interior design projects, the P81071 crown molding model seamlessly blends classic architectural lines with modern manufacturing technology at the junction of walls and ceilings. Measuring 112 mm in width, 90 mm in depth, and 2440 mm in length, this decorative profile allows you to elegantly finish ceiling transitions in spaces ranging from spacious living rooms to prestigious lobby designs.
The surface design features classic acanthus leaf motifs lined along the lower curved surface, highlighted by an elegant bead-and-reel pattern just above. This embossed relief texture creates a beautiful play of light and shadow along the ceiling line, bringing flat wall transitions to life. Unlike the rough surfaces common in traditional plaster casts, our advanced molding technology ensures that every motif has exceptionally smooth and sharp details.
Manufactured from high-density rigid polyurethane, this profile offers a structure as tough as wood with a density of 150-200 kg/m³, yet remains remarkably lightweight. Thanks to its closed-cell structure, it is 100% resistant to moisture and water, with a water absorption rate of less than 1%. This completely prevents the material from shrinking, swelling, cracking, or warping over time, ensuring long-lasting durability.
The P81071 model is highly favored in hotels, restaurants, luxury residential projects, and classic-style offices and living rooms. Thanks to its high moisture resistance, it can be safely installed in damp environments like bathrooms and indoor pools without any risk of deformation. Additionally, its weather-resistant structure makes it suitable for exterior applications, such as under-eave transitions.
For installation, the profile is applied to clean, dry surfaces, achieving seamless corner joints with 45-degree miter cuts. It should be secured using only Polure Polfix adhesive and reinforced with mechanical screws. Delivered with a factory-applied, paint-ready primer, any additional priming is optional and depends on the paint manufacturer's guidelines. Once installed, applying at least two coats of water-based or synthetic paint is recommended.
- The P81071 patterned crown molding profile is used as a decorative border at all interior wall-to-ceiling transitions
- It is ideal for accentuating ceiling details, particularly in classic and neoclassical living rooms, hotel lobbies, luxury restaurants, executive offices, and bedrooms
- Thanks to its completely waterproof and moisture-resistant structure, it can be safely installed in high-humidity areas such as saunas, bathrooms, and spas
- In exterior designs, it serves as a detailed trim under roof eaves or at floor transitions
- For outdoor applications, it must be coated with a UV-resistant exterior paint to protect it from sunlight
- Ensure that the wall and ceiling surfaces are dry, clean, and smooth before application
- For corner joints, cut the profile at a 45-degree angle using a miter saw
- Apply Polure Polfix adhesive to the bonding channels on the back of the profile and to the joints, then press it onto the surface
- Mechanical fastening with screws is mandatory for a secure installation
- Once the adhesive cures, cover the screw heads and joints with a suitable joint filler
- Sand the dried filled areas smooth using 180-220 grit sandpaper
- An optional primer can be applied over the factory primer depending on the paint manufacturer's recommendation, followed by at least 2 coats of water-based or synthetic paint
- Once painted, the P81071 crown molding profile features an exceptionally easy-to-clean surface
- A slightly damp, soft cloth is sufficient for routine cleaning
- Avoid using abrasive chemicals, solvent-based cleaners, or stiff brushes
- While the impact-resistant product will not crack, it should not be washed directly with high-pressure water
- It can easily be repainted years later to match any changes in your interior decor
