The P9003 keystone and corbel is a functional decorative element designed for use at the apex of windows, doors, or arches on both exterior facades and interior spaces. Measuring 22.1 cm in width, 25 cm in depth, and 32.1 cm in height, this exquisite piece adds three-dimensional depth to facades, accentuating a classic architectural identity. Enhancing the overall character of any building, this solid element effortlessly integrates the majestic presence of historical structures into your modern projects.
Its visual design features elegant spiral volutes at the top and a symmetrical bead-and-reel motif cascading down the center. In the lower section, these details merge with finely crafted acanthus leaf reliefs and smaller scrolls, presenting an exquisite example of neoclassical and Baroque styles. Thanks to Polure's high-precision molding technology, every single pattern line on the product is sharp, smooth, and highly defined.
Technically, the product is manufactured from high-density rigid polyurethane with a density of 150-200 kg/m³. This durable structure, matching the hardness of wood, offers high resistance to impacts and harsh weather conditions, while its lightweight nature ensures zero static load on the building's structural systems. Furthermore, it retains its form perfectly in temperatures ranging from -20°C to +80°C, and with a water absorption rate of less than one percent, it remains completely unaffected by moisture, rain, or rot.
The product is delivered pre-primed with a factory-applied undercoat. This factory primer facilitates better adhesion of the topcoat; however, additional primer applications for paint manufacturers' own system warranties are optional and entirely at the user's discretion. Polure does not assume responsibility for the performance of applied paints. For exterior installations, UV-resistant topcoats must be used to prevent the material from yellowing under sunlight.
Unlike fragile traditional plaster or flimsy EPS foam, this durable polyurethane decorative product guarantees long-lasting use. During installation, the product must be secured to the surface using Polure Polfix adhesive and mechanically reinforced with screws. Once joints and screw holes are filled with exterior putty, sanded, and painted, a flawless finish is achieved.
- This versatile decorative element offers excellent solutions for both interior and exterior applications
- On exteriors, it is highly preferred as a keystone at the top center of windows or as a majestic crowning piece on the lintels of entrance doors
- It also serves an aesthetic function as a decorative supporting corbel (bracket) under balconies, roof eaves, or at the intersection of floor moldings
- Indoors, it can be used as elegant brackets supporting decorative wall shelves in hotel lobbies, classic living rooms, fireplace wall designs, and wide corridors, or as load-bearing-look decorative elements in the corners of ceiling beams
- Before installation, the application surface must be dry, clean, and free of dust
- Apply Polure Polfix adhesive in strips to the back of the product, align it, and press it firmly against the wall
- To ensure safety against harsh weather conditions and gravity, mechanical fastening to the wall with stainless steel screws is mandatory
- Screw heads and joints are filled with elastic exterior putty
- Once the putty dries, sand it smooth with 180-220 grit sandpaper
- After optionally applying an additional coat of primer, complete the process by applying at least two coats of UV-resistant paint for exteriors, or water-based or synthetic paint for interiors
- The product stands out for its extremely low maintenance requirements
- For outdoor applications, it is recommended to inspect the painted surface once a year and touch up the paint if necessary
- For cleaning, a damp cloth or low-pressure water can be used
- Abrasive chemicals and stiff brushes that could damage the surface texture should be avoided
- Any minor damage resulting from impacts can easily be repaired using acrylic putty and localized paint touch-ups
