Polyurethane Beam

A polyurethane beam is a hollow U- or box-section polyurethane decorative profile used to give a ceiling the look of a real wood or concrete beam. It is applied in living rooms, kitchens and ceiling transitions to create a decorative beam effect; it is not load-bearing and is for appearance only. The polyurethane material is light and is installed with mounting adhesive screwed onto battens; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack or blister and can be painted. Being much lighter than real wood, it is easily fixed to the ceiling and is not affected by moisture. Because it is cast in a mould, the wood texture and section repeat identically across every piece. Polure produces polyurethane beams in various section and length options.
