The polyurethane faux wood beam end cap is a specially designed finishing element used to elegantly cover the exposed ends of decorative logs and beams in ceiling designs. It offers a lightweight, practical, and durable alternative for architects and interior designers looking to create a rustic, natural atmosphere in living spaces. By eliminating the weight, cracking, and maintenance challenges of real wood, it adds a warm and cozy character to any interior.
Designed in a square format, the product features surface dimensions of 256x255 mm and a depth of 27 mm. These balanced proportions ensure a perfect fit with standard ceiling beams and decorative log endings. Manufactured from high-density rigid polyurethane (150-200 kg/m³), it delivers a wood-like hardness combined with high impact resistance. Thanks to its closed-cell structure, the water absorption rate is below 1%, preventing swelling or rotting even in highly humid environments.
The visual details—including deep growth rings, natural cracks, and a rugged bark texture—are indistinguishable from real wood, thanks to advanced molding technology. This authentic surface character is ideal for enriching ceiling designs in chalets, rustic restaurants, historic mansions, and modern rustic residential projects. Its lightweight construction does not add load to the ceiling, eliminating safety risks during seismic events like earthquakes.
The product surface comes pre-coated with a factory-applied primer. This factory primer ensures excellent adhesion for the topcoat. However, since paint manufacturers do not guarantee applications without their own primers, applying an additional primer coat before the final paint is entirely at our customers' discretion. Polure does not accept liability for the performance of post-applied paints. For outdoor applications, using UV-resistant paints is mandatory to protect the product from the degrading effects of sunlight.
Offering complete moisture resistance compared to traditional wood, while avoiding the fragility of plaster and the flimsiness of EPS foam, this polyurethane decorative cap stands out for its ease of installation. Its rapid application, low maintenance costs, and dimensional stability save both time and labor in your projects.
