This attic bedroom offers a peaceful and characteristic atmosphere where sunlight filters through skylights to revitalize wooden textures. The fundamental element defining the architectural identity of the space is the structural detailing that adapts to the steep slope of the ceiling, bringing the warmth of a mountain chalet to the area. The simplicity of the white walls is balanced by the heavy use of wood on the floor and ceiling; the wide-patterned rug and classic fireplace reinforce the 'home' feeling of the space. The wide-angle light entry creates a living decoration by dynamically changing the deep textures and shadows of the material throughout the day.

In the ceiling details of the design, polyurethane beams of different cross-sections from the Polure collection (P1981A, P1981B, P1981C, P1981D, P1981E, P1981F, P1981G, P1981H, P1981I, P1981J, P1981K, P1981L) have been brought together in a strategic layout. Products in this series were used to create vertical and horizontal belts descending from the ridge line of the ceiling. Each product code represents a different width or depth, providing a realistic carcass appearance on the ceiling surface. The detail precision provided by polyurethane reflects the natural knot and grain structure of wood exactly, presenting a visual integrity.

All decorative beam units in the visual are manufactured using high-density polyurethane raw material with precast molding technology. Precast technology ensures that each piece is manufactured with millimetric precision and fits perfectly with each other. These polyurethane elements, which are 80% lighter than real wood logs, do not place additional static weight on the roof construction. Furthermore, they can be applied quickly during the assembly phase using special adhesives and hidden screw techniques. The hollow structures within the material offer a functional advantage for hiding ceiling wiring systems if necessary.

To increase the perception of depth in narrow-angled spaces like attics, it is recommended to place ceiling beams in a 'V' form or on vertical axes. If your space is small, you can increase spaciousness by choosing lighter oak tones or ecru paint applications on raw polyurethane instead of dark tones as seen in this visual. Matching the polyurethane jambs and panels used around the fireplace with the beam texture on the ceiling will successfully complete the rule of continuity in interior architecture. The water-resistant nature of Polure products allows these rustic applications to be carried out safely not only in bedrooms but also in humid areas such as bathrooms and kitchens.

Design Details

The simulation of the main load-bearing beam at the center of the ceiling gives the space a vertical axis, making the ceiling height feel greater than it is. The matte finish surface of the polyurethane beams prevents the reflection of direct light from the skylights, providing a natural woody appearance. The contrast between the warm tones of the floor rug and the dark anthracite tone of the fireplace keeps the focus of the room in the center. The carved details in the furniture and the brutal structure of the ceiling elements create a successful synthesis of neoclassical and rustic styles.
