This interior design offers a meditative atmosphere dominated by earthy tones and natural textures. The central niche, highlighted by dramatic lighting, creates a profound sense of depth within the space. Warm light beams accentuate the rugged surface textures, bringing the organic character of the materials to the forefront. A ceramic vase reminiscent of ancient forms serves as a balanced fusion of modern and rustic elements, completing the central composition.
Polyurethane beams from the Polure collection (+P3004+, +P3004A+, +P3004B+) were used in the vertical and horizontal lines that frame the space. These profiles, featuring an authentic wood texture, provide a structural skeletal look on the ceiling and side walls, giving the space an architectural identity. The background texture, which gives the impression of a rocky surface, consists of high-density panels prepared with special CNC cutting techniques. Complementary pieces in various forms used in this design (ranging from the +P1981A+ to +P1981M+ series) showcase flawless craftsmanship at corner joints and surface transitions.
All elements in the design were cast in ideal dimensions at the factory thanks to precast production technology and applied on-site through a simple assembly process. The lightweight nature of the polyurethane material allows these massive-looking beams to be applied quickly and cleanly without adding extra load to the walls. PU beams with a wood appearance provide a long-lasting solution, especially for interiors, as they do not crack, warp, or suffer from insect infestation over time like real wood. Thanks to its water and moisture-resistant structure, these decorative niches can also be safely preferred in wet areas such as bathrooms or spas.
This type of rustic niche design is ideal for use in large foyers, hotel lobbies, or as focal points in restaurants. To create a similar atmosphere, Polure's beam models colored with distressed painting techniques can be combined with hidden LED lighting. The monochromatic palette used in the design can be personalized by enriching it with different textile products or raw ceramic accessories. The paintable surface of the polyurethane material allows for revision in any desired tone according to the general color scheme of the space.
Design Details
The 'ground-up' lighting technique used in the design creates a dramatic effect by enriching textural variations on vertical surfaces with shadow plays. The ratio between the width of the polyurethane beams and the depth of the niche exhibits a monumental stance in the space. The color palette was selected entirely from natural pigments to minimize visual noise and direct the focus to the decorative object. Material contrast establishes an aesthetic balance between the smooth vase surface and the coarse-textured walls. Vertical forms optically increase the perception of ceiling height.
