The P1981L decorative faux wood beam is designed to effortlessly bring the warmth of rustic architecture and natural wood texture to both interior and exterior projects. Eliminating disadvantages of traditional wood like high costs, maintenance hassles, and structural warping, this architectural element offers an aesthetic alternative for ceiling and wall designs.
Measuring 75 mm in width, 3000 mm in length, and 157 mm in height, this product features the ideal proportions of a ceiling rafter. Manufactured from high-density rigid polyurethane (150-200 kg/m³), the beam offers a strength comparable to natural wood while remaining remarkably lightweight. Thanks to its closed-cell structure, it does not absorb moisture, swell, or suffer from insect damage and structural decay.
Deep knot marks, weathered crack details, and a pronounced grain pattern on the surface give the product the authentic look of real timber. This rich surface character creates a natural and striking visual focal point across various design styles, from classic rustic cabins to modern industrial lofts.
With its versatile application range, the P1981L is highly favored for living rooms, hallways, kitchens, and covered patio ceilings. It also serves as an excellent architectural solution to conceal unsightly structural elements such as cables, plumbing pipes, or ventilation ducts.
Shipped from the factory with a primer coat, the product can be easily painted using water-based or synthetic paints. While the factory primer prepares the surface for the topcoat, paint manufacturers may not guarantee applications done without their own primers; therefore, applying an additional primer is optional and at the user's discretion. For installation, Polure Polfix adhesive and mechanical fixing screws must be used.
- The P1981L faux wood beam is highly versatile, making it ideal for both interior spaces and, with proper painting, exterior facades
- Indoors, it is perfect for creating a rustic exposed beam look on living room, kitchen, hallway, and bedroom ceilings
- It adds a warm, inviting atmosphere to commercial and social venues such as restaurants, cafes, hotel lobbies, and country homes
- Additionally, it serves as an elegant cover to hide exposed cable trays, unsightly pipes, and structural flaws on ceilings
- Outdoors, it adds depth to architectural projects when used on patio ceilings, under eaves, and as decorative roof rafters
- Ensure the installation surface is clean, dry, and smooth
- Measure and cut the product as required
- Apply Polure Polfix polyurethane adhesive to the contact surfaces
- For a secure installation, mechanical fastening with screws from concealed spots is mandatory in addition to the adhesive
- Fill screw heads and joints with joint filler, then sand smooth using 180-220 grit sandpaper
- Following an optional additional primer coat, apply at least two coats of water-based or synthetic paint
- For outdoor applications, using UV-resistant paint is mandatory
- It can be easily cleaned using a damp cloth or a soft sponge
- Avoid using abrasive chemicals and stiff brushes during cleaning, as they may damage the surface texture
- Offering high impact resistance, any potential surface damage can be easily repaired with filler and sandpaper, then repainted
- For exterior applications, periodic paint inspection is recommended depending on seasonal weather conditions
