Decorative Log

A decorative log is a polyurethane ornamental element that gives the look of a natural tree trunk on a ceiling. It is used in rustic ceiling designs and in country-house and bungalow interiors to create a tree-log effect. Polyurethane is lightweight and applied with construction adhesive and concealed screws; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, swell, or warp, and can be painted. Being far lighter than a real log, it adds no load to the ceiling, does not attract insects, and is unaffected by moisture. Cast in a mould, the wood grain and bark details repeat identically on every piece. Polure produces decorative logs in various diameters and textures.
