Rustic Beam

A rustic beam is a hollow polyurethane beam element placed on the ceiling that imitates an aged and rough wood look. It is used on living room, kitchen, restaurant and cafe ceilings to give the impression of an exposed structural member and create a traditional, warm texture. The polyurethane beam is lightweight; it is fitted over a wood or metal support batten fixed to the ceiling, so it can be applied by one person. It resists moisture and impact, does not rot, crack or attract insects and can be painted in wood tones; unlike real timber it is unaffected by humidity differences and does not bend or warp. Being hollow, it is also suitable for routing lighting and cables. Because the knot and grain texture on its surface is mould-produced, it repeats realistically on every beam.
